    Yea right...Like I'm going to...
Due to numerous requests and inquiries about bunker construction, I want to explain and highlight that a "bunker" (reinforced storm shelter) can be practical for a broad range of the population without being unreasonable in price.

I prefer the in ground models for best protection, but for those in flood prone areas, (hurricane zones) there is above ground shelters.
In fact the following is the "bunker" for a certain former President on his ranch:...http://www.usstormshelters.com/original.html

Kinda simple and not the elaborate set up you might have thought. Well, he probably has something else bigger somewhere there, who knows? but the fact is it will provide the protection required from a tornado...

As many of you know, I now live in TN. Unfortunately there were 2 fatalities within a 15 minute drive due to recent tornadoes in Murphreesboro. A young mother and 9 week old child. The baby was found 200 yards away...Very sad, very disturbing. The thing is if you can afford one, I think it's worth it.

For a storm room it looks great, but I think it fails for a safe room. A bit too thin to be used for a fall out shelter.

I guess the great thing about the fallout shelter business is that if it doesn't work, there's no one to sue you. Sweet!

Fall out shelters are extensively more robust and more expensive. I think I disguised the topic as if talking about fall out shelters, but the real point of the thread is to highlight what is more practical and that is a reinforced storm shelter...

I wanted to show an example of a "relatively" inexpensive model to inform others about what can be obtained.

What about if it floods? Do you just drown in that rabbit cage?

Hmmm Thanks for the idea to delete the words in the names of my tabs. Looks so much cleaner now.

    What theme/skin is that?

The twirling air vent would never reveal your location. Most people would think it was, um, a party favor from New Year's Eve... or something.

    Storms? pshh

I wonder if there's one to protect against zombies.

An endorsement by the Austrian psychopath father would probably drive up sales.
