    rockets' games on this month:
    14 Fri Miami
    18 Tue @ L.A. Lakers
    19 Wed @ Phoenix
    21 Fri Dallas
    22 Sat Memphis
    24 Mon @ Boston
    25 Tue @ New York
    27 Thu @ Washington

looking at the rockets' games on this month, the rockets should potentially lose only two games against the lakers and mavericks. they should beat all other teams.

They could beat all those teams. Which Rockets group will show up?

Kind of like how we should have beaten Cleveland.

The Rockets must get this game out of their mind, and play one game at a time.

They tend to dwell in the past, and look forward too often.

Is it that hard to just focus on each game at hand?

The key word in your subject title is definitely "SHOULD."

Also, 5 of those 8 are road games.

Using this entire season as a source of my opinion, winning 3 of those 8 would be a good thing...

I don't know what the odds are of the Rockets winning more than 1 or 2 of those games on the road.

It's bad they have to play phoenix immediately after playing lakers.

I can see us winning 7 of those, with the only loss coming at the Lakers. We can beat Dallas at home, and they're going through a rough stretch. That's an East Coast road trip. Washington certainly cannot stop Yao, while Boston and New York can not stop Steve.

We don't face any mismatches, and our road games are against the East.

Beat Phoenix and we'll win 7 of 8. As long as Steve doesn't get into a scoring game with Marbury, and Yao plays decent, I think Mobley can carry us for this one.

yao needs to outplay stoudamire to let everybody knows he's the better player. after the lakers' game, the big fella should go straight to bed and get a good sleep. go to phoenix and open a can of whoop azz. score 24 pts, 15 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 blocks.

with the mess the rox have created( blowing up games that shudve been won) ... Rox should take each game as it comes and not look forward on winning and losing some,

the way the play off scenario is shaping up ........rox just got to win the next game after the next. and so on, so as not to overlook particularly weaker teams:) :) :)

Well the Rockets are 8-15 on the road this year and 5 out of the next 8 games are on the road. One home game against Dallas won't be easy either. The Rockets have the talent to win 6 out of the next 8 but have the inconsistency to lose 6 out of the next 8 also. That's why this team is frustrating to watch sometimes.

My odds for the Rockets winning each game.

    Miami- 85%
    @ LA- 25%
    @ Phx- 35%
    Dal- 50%
    Memphis- 85%
    @ Bos- 40%
    @ NY- 50%
    @ Was- 50%

I only see two "gimmies" in that stretch.

We just had a great game and finally stopped the losing streak, and we are talking about winning 6 of 8 now? I am just amazed how fast people get carried away just after one game.

    From KidRock8

Miami- 85% Agree with ya, nobody on heat can contain SF
@ LA- 5% At home, Kobe is on fire and Shaq is back
@ Phx- 40% Phoenix is slowing down, this game will be crucial for the rocks. Shows whos gonna be 8th once the Lakers catch up
Dal- 65% Nobody there can contain Yao, nuff said
Memphis- 95% If we lose then we deserve to lose
@ Bos- 25% Boston is a tough team, once their shots start falling its over cause our guards can't play perimeter defense
@ NY- 85% Knicks suck, sprewell is over rated. Alot of Yao fans will be there so it won't be as much of a home court advantage
@ Was- 50% Washington is hot, but they have no answer for Yao

6 out of 8, I rather have the Rockets think of one game at a time. Who knows maybe they will have a traded somebody before the Dallas game?? Trading deadline is the 20th.:D

The fans really need to come out for the Mavs game. They need to be real loud for this one game against the Mavs. It's very important we win that one because, assuming we're the 8th seed, we don't want to go into that series having lost the season series, thus giving them a HUGE mental edge.

Only 5% chance beating LA? Come on, you guys need to give Rockets more credit! We are 2-0 against LA so far. Yao is the only answer for Shaq in the league. Nobody can stop Kobe. But Kobe/Fisher cannot stop Francis either. Last game agaist LA, rockets offense wasn't even good, but Rockets still beat LA. I would say 40% chance against LA.

Rockets loves to dwell in 4-6 games above .50

When it's less than 4 games above .50, they start playing like possessed and beat teams they should have lost to.

When it's more than 6 games above .50, they start playing without heart and lose to any team, including high school team.

That's why you see lose, lose, lose, win, win, lose, win, lose, lose, win, win, and so on.

In the end, that kind of hibernation is just not enough to carry them to the playoff, especially in the Western Conference. Rockets has lost 8 of 11 previous games.
