I have no doubt all the good players in the NBA are thinking of joining the Yao/McGrady combo right now. I am sure Steve Nash is sick of losing year after year in Dallas and would consider coming here to play with a potentially Championship team for years to come and plus he never get to play with a big man like Yao. Now would he take the cut to come here??? I hope so....because let's face it there is NO HOPE in Dallas ...period. If he come to Houston and join Yao and Tmac...he knows it's going to be instant Championship!
Nash will most liekely get an Andre Miller type deal. Not to sure if we can afford him and if it neccesary. Arroyo, Fisher, and Hudson can get the job done....oh ya...Brent Barry. But Barry's D will struggle.
Let somebody else overpay Nash with a Max Contract... We don't need a game breaker at PG anymore, talented PG's don't make much sense when you have 2 other great players, as 1-2 punches sure, but not as a 1-2-3 punches.
oh man... that would be awesome. pure point? check three point shooting? double check almost too willing to pass up shots? check nash is the... how do you say? ah yes... bomb. sure our chances are low... but why not look into it?
You're being rediculous. Nash is the type of PG ROX need..cuz HE WILL make you pay for doubling Yao and McGrady!!! Rox needs more deadly shooters from outside the arc...that's what they need right now!
the main questions are: can he play the slower tempo style of game that JVG wants unlike the style in dallas? defense! defense! defense! can he play it? it seems that everyone in dallas forgets defense when they put on that jersey
oh man... i don't remember much from econ... but i do know that Nash is strictly preferable to Barry.
If all you want is a guy who can hit shots you don't have to pay him at least 10 million a season to do it, like you would have to pay Nash. Damon Jones could hit them for less, Rafer Alston, Brent Barry, Derek Fisher...
I think playing as Rox's PG ..u don't have to worry about penetration cuz Yao will prevent anything that come close to the basket...so Yao will make the PG better.
Again, if you want 3 point shooters then just sign a PG who can run the offense and surround Yao with Anthony Peeler & Brian Cardinal. There are more solutions to this lack of 3 point shooting.
the rockets can't afford Steve Nash. Youv'e got to understand, we've got a 5 million dollar mid level exception an a 6.9 trade exception. We have no players that would bring anything worth while in trade value. This team has 2 stars, you aren't going to get a player of Nash's caliber plain and simple. We have to settle for the Barry's, Fisher's and Snow's of the world and that is just how it has to be.
Hudson wants to come here and thats half the battle, he has lost his starting job for the T Wolves and just wants a good opportunity to show that he has a worthwhile game.
Quite the opposite the Rox need a Point Guard that can pass the ball and be a playmaker his scoring ability is not as important.
If Nash wants a championship he will come. No matter what the cost. I would love nothing better than to screw the Cuban Cigar over by taking a player he has no fear of losing.
Nash would probably be too much, but he would be a great addition. I have no doubt he could run half court offense and would be killer in the pick-n-roll. His defense is fair and with big man help he'd be fine. His passing and shooting would force defense to play TMAC and YAO honestly. Just don't know how to make it work fiscally.
i love steve nash... he's actually my favorite player in the NBA. so please... Jeff, Doctor of Dunk, Clutch? make a sticky called "Nash to Houston"... then maybe it'll work just like it did for TMac.
I prefer a younger PG who can grow together with Yao and T-mac. Nash may be too old at the time when Yao and T-mac reaches their prime.
