Didn't see a thread on this one. Anyone care about this series? I actually like the Cavs along with the Bulls of the teams that are left in the east. Of course you have the phenomenon that is Lebron but I like some of their other players like the Big Z, Gooden, and Larry Hughes. Cavs took Game 1 81-77. I am predicting that the Cavs win this series in 6 games. Thoughts on this series?
after reading that thread bout vince texting tmac to keep his head up, i want the nets to win. i was pretty much 50-50 on this, but vince showing he gave a damn puts me at 51-49 in favor of the nets.
the playoffs have become so freaking boring. maybe i am just mad rockets are out but still other than warriors i dont even like a single team left. *yawn*
Wow, no love for this series. Understood. Fun game to watch for me at least. NJ running their mouths all game but couldn't walk the walk. Here's hoping Cleveland closes out the next game. And before you guys think the Pistons/Cavs series is no-contest, the Cavs were a few painful minutes away from winning that series last year. I think it will be entertaining to watch. Back to your regularly scheduled Spurs/Suns thread now...
Your Cavs were fortunate to get a 1st round bye against the depleted Wizards and to play a spent Nets team in the 2nd round. If the Pistons play the Cavs like they are playing the Bulls now, your team will be swept. Of course, there is no guarantee the Pistons will remain so focused and maybe something weird happens. Maybe this year, maybe every single Cavs player not named LeBron will avoid the tight collars and alligator arms that plagued them during closeout games last season. Maybe Larry Hughes will actually contribute something. Don't get your hopes up. I want the Cavs to beat the Pistons but doubt it happens. The Pistons will decide to choke LeBron and the other Cavs will choke on their own.
if u want Carter to come over here to help us out u should pray the Cavs to dominate the nets in game 5
Ok, I watched the last few minutes of this game because I wanted to catch the start of the Suns/Spurs thread (yea I admit it). I wanted the Nets to win because at least in that way the series would be an exciting 2-2 instead of the 3-1 chokehold. I tried cheering for the Nets..but wow, Carter has become such a joke. Seems to me like he lost a lot of his speed and handles. And Eric freakin' Snow owned him in the last play. Not to mention the timely missed free throws. Good job Carter, good job. You deserve it.
I don't understand Vince Carter and NJ. Why go to Carter for isolation plays when you have Jason Kidd running the show? That's like the Suns having Nash stand around and letting Stoudmire go one on one the whole time.
Oh that he is the player's shoes screeching against the floor but it sounds like a b**** got run over by a truck or something and that piercing scream is stuck in your head.
Didn't even see the 1st half and just looking at the box score makes me want to What a couple of pathetic teams that have no chance to beat Detroit. It's a shame one of these two has to advance. Looks like Larry Hughes (1/12) has returned to being a worthless joke that is stealing money from the Cavs. The Cavs should have pounced on the Nets and driven them into the ground but somehow find themselves down by 8. I want to like the Cavs but oh boy. LeBron with 7 pts and 4 TOs in the 1st half of what should be a statement game from him against a spent team. If the Cavs don't take control and dominate the 2nd half, the winner of this series should just concede the Eastern Conference spot in the Finals to the Pistons. I guess I'll watch the 2nd half.
Cavs have the opportunity to close this out...instead it looks like the Det/Chi game. Hughes can't make a basket, I think he's 1-368 now...make that 1-369.
Nobody makes a 4th quarter basket until 5:10 remains in the game!? The Nets were willing to allow Cleveland back into the game but the Cavs wanted no part of it. I sure hope the 2nd game is really good to make up for this one.
