Getting ready to tip off on ABC in a few (2:00 CST). Any predictions as to who will take this one? My head says the Heat have the drive and experience, but I just don't know if a team can limp through the regular season the way they did and turn it on in the playoffs on the road against a tough defenseve team like the Bulls.

If I had to pick, I guess I would go with Heat in 7 (No confidence in that pick whatsoever).

Be ready for some ugly, grind it out basketball (even worse than our series against the Jazz IMO). Just the way Riley and Skiles want it.

this series depend on wade and how truly healthy he is. if he can take the extra pounding the playoffs offer and continue to play at a similar level before going out. I don't like the bulls though as they have no inside presence at all(on offense), and they rely way too much on their jumpshot so I have to say heat in 6

This is THE first round series in the East! All of the others are worthless.

    GO BULLS!

    Game on.

Chicago already killing Miami with youth/speed.

Did you see that stat? Shaq is 26-0 in series when starting 1-0. Of course, he hasn't lost that many series in his career to begin with.

    Go Bulls!

It's funny when you think about his teams' propensity for getting beat in 4 or 5 if they lose the first game.

This stuff about the first game meaning everything is garbage. The vast majority of the time, the first game is played on the home court of the better team. Simple as that.

Didn't help him much in 95, though that would be more on Anderson than O'Neal.

i've got heat in 6 for this. the bulls just won't be able to get the big shots when they need them (although gordon might hit a few) and the heat will. or the heat will just get the offensive board if they miss the big shot.

wtf, duhon, how do you go for that pump fake? do you not have hinrich, the master of not going for wade's pump fakes*, on your team and get to watch him guard him all the time, and see how effective it is? just stay down.

*i didn't see the start of the game so hopefully he didn't go for one early on to make me look bad.

It does seem that Hinrich has three fouls...

I've been watching off and on between doing other stuff though. He might have been hacking Shaq or something.

yeah that's why i hoped he wasn't making me look bad. all i know is he seems to have some hex on wade at times and not going for the pump fakes is a big part of it. others, especially guys on the same team, should learn from that.

    Bingo.

And Shaq is still Shaq: the most dominant force in the paint.

why don't we give hinrich a foul every 30 seconds to make sure he's not on the court to guard wade.
