Since the Rockets have no more assets outside of Yao and T-Mac, do you guys think this is the team we'll have to watch til the end of the season? If not, who else do you guys think we can trade for?

It think the Rox are reallly pushing to moves one of our PFs. There WILL be another move or two our managment is going to make. We need 1 more scorer and some one who can rebound the darn ball!

Also I really want the team to pick up strong pf for this year so than can sign Swift in the offseason. I realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly want Swift on our team, he would be perfect!

Actually, I would be happy if we got a rebound / defensive 4 (ie somewhat like Cato). If the 4 could score, I think that would definitely be a plus, but not a requirement right now.

whats the facination w/ Swift? his #s have actually gone down almost every year........but then again, he doesnt get many minutes........which also means he could be had for cheap :p but still, he seems too skinny, and not exactly a banger.......

He is a verry athletic 4 that has loads of upside. If he got the playing time hed show everyone how good he can really be. Plus he can THROW IT DOWN!

Swift is EXACTLY what this team needs. If he got 35 minutes a game, he would average 15 pts, 10 boards, and 3.5 blocks easily. The guy is full of energy and is a really good teammate. He is really young, and would compliment Yao and Tmac perfectly. Plus, he has a cool name.

Swift would be great but what can we offer the Grizz for him. No way they take Howard/Mo. I wouldnt mind getting rid of our first round pick if thats what it takes to get him but i doubt it happens.

We still have one roster spot open and CD is a GM that like to go down to the CBA and NBDL to search for talent. I am sure we would use 10-day contracts to get some of those players when the window for those roster moves opens up soon (in a week or two?).

FA after this season. Should stress that he is an unrestricted FA this offseason, so the Grizz can't do anything about it.

I think Tyson Chandler on the Bulls would be an ideal fit on the Rockets. He plays alot like Cato (no real offensive game outside the dunk) except he is praised for his work ethic. Plus he not starting in Chi. and I'm not sure if he has been given an extension or not. Either way he is the 4 I would be looking at if I'm the Rockets.

You took the words out of my mouth. I think Tyson Chandler would be perfect, but I would be happy with Swift.

The trade talks for Chandler with other teams have died somewhat since the Bulls actually started winning some games.

Oh ok. But can we really get him with just the mid-level exception. There are teams out there (like atlanta) that have alot of cap space and can offer him more money.

Swift and Chandler are pipe dreams. Swift wants and will get more than the MLE. I think Chandler's happy in Chicago, and mgmt is probably inclined to keep him unless they can get an upgrade. We also have nothing to offer either team for them.

I'm actually hoping we can get our defensive-minded PF in the draft. There are supposed to be quite a few PFs in the draft. I think our chances of getting one in the middle of the first round are decent.

I've soured on Swift. His post D and position defense overall are still really bad.

It would be great if we could somehow swing a trade for Jeff Foster.

I wish we could have somehow signed Etan Thomas for cheap, this past offseason. He is a Brian Grant clone that can block shots. He's been hurt all season long though.
