I didn't see a Rose Bowl Thread so I figured I should make one. I can't stand SC but it looks like they're about to get the first touchdown of the game. GO BIG BLUE!
hope USC loses. if Vince was playing for Michigan, michy would win by 30 TDs, and then walk on the Pacific Ocean to Indonesia to prevent further Tsunamis.
well, at least we don't have to hear all the yapping about how UM shoulda been in the champ. game and how they would've won or any of that crap. Even though every expert went against USC...and I hate USC...they're just handing it to UM. The pass rush has been ridiculous for the Trojans. Jarrett is a little overhyped to me...he doesn't look incredible. He looks good...but not like someone who'll be a dominant #1 WR in the NFL. see: Mike Williams, USC
This game is going downhill for Big Blue. The only positive side for me is that it makes Cal look better in the final standings.
I was going to say wow, this game sucks. I was hoping Michigan would do well, because they are "the number 2" team in the nation. as i post, they scored a TD. Maybe the game will look up from here.
Did yall hear Brent Musburger or whatever said? ABout emuatling Larry Fitzgerald, and not Terrell Owens. AND HE MEANS IT.
To all the posters who were crying about Michigan being passed over in favor of Florida for a spot in the national championship game: Today's special of the day is a heaping plate of crow.
do usc's receivers (or TEs or RBs or anyone catching a pass for them) have the greatest hands ever? and i don't just mean this game. i have never seen a team over the past few years where nobody ever drops a pass. they don't drop easy ones, they don't drop hards ones, they make amazing catches, it's unbelievable to watch. i remember first noticing it in the orange bowl against ou when they must've made at least 3 one-handed catches (including one by the TE on a 30+ yard pass into the endzone) and several other amazing grabs. i thought maybe they were just having the game of their life catching (and since they were playing ou, i was glad), but since then it has just continued. that 4th and 9 against nd last year was a solid catch. they had several against us in the rose bowl. hell, one of the first plays they had was a 30+ yard pass to a fullback who laid out for the ball and was hit so hard by our safety that he got a concussion and didn't play the rest of the game, but he still held on. a FB laying out while getting a concussion! mike williams was seeminly on sportscenter every week for some catch (including a ridiculous one-hander that was one of the plays of the year when he got it). jarrett does the same thing. i think he's the one who made that one-handed, over the shoulder, barely getting one foot in bounds TD catch last year or early this year. and now jarrett is dominating this game with great catches and they all hold on even when they get hit almost instantly after the catch. i've really just never seen a team, college or pro that catches like them. do they just recruit sticky-fingered WR's or is there a way to coach this? it seems like you either have it or don't but it can't just be a coincidence that they've done it with lots of guys over lots of years. man i'm getting sick of usc's success. even in a year where they lose 2 games, they dominate all 3 games against good teams. they smack down arkansas 50-14, they just pummel notre dame, and now are pummeling michigan, a #3 team some thought should be in the title game. their talent level and coaching is just ridiculous and apparently they return a lot next year. probably going to another title game and probably gonna win it.
I thought Michigan would put up a better effort...USC is good, but c'mon...This type of performance justified Florida playing Ohis State next week...
Michigan lost to USC? But weren't some people arguing they're supposed to be 2nd because they LOST to Ohio State?
that's exactly what he said, but he was referring to jarret taunting on a touchdown earlier, pointing at the db as he was running in. and also when the comment was made, jarret made a big catch and tossed the ball to the db, they were on the ground facing each other. I couldn't believe he didn't get a penalty on either play.
