Both guys really came up big as the Bulls beat the Knicks, I have been a fan of the pacers for a long time now and i was very shocked to see Rose and Best get traded. I really felt good for them tonight. Rose is better than all 3 of those guys combined the Pacers got.

Holy ish I was wrong. Rose with 36 tonight leads the Bulls over the knicks. G'd Lawd. Full recap comin as soon as I can find it. He also lead the Bulls with 6 assists. Chandler got the boards with 14. And damn, Houston had 34 pts, Spree with 30, and they still couldn't beat the bulls. Beautiful.

Jalen Rose scored 36 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, leading a comeback in his Bulls debut as Chicago beat the New York Knicks 113-109 Wednesday night.

Rose, who came to Chicago with Travis Best in Tuesday's seven-player deal with the Indiana Pacers, was 13-of-24 from the field and 10-of-11 from the line. He led a depleted Bulls team which had only eight players available in the second half.

Best also played well, scoring 12 points in reserve and making a key steal and rebound late to seal the victory.

Allan Houston scored 34, and Latrell Sprewell added 30 for the Knicks, who were 15-of-27 from 3-point range but blew a pair of double-digit leads.

Chicago trailed 89-77 early in the fourth, but clawed its way back.

The Bulls closed within 99-94 with about four minutes left when Rose made a pivotal block on Shandon Anderson, triggering a fast break. Fred Hoiberg missed the layup, but was fouled intentionally by Anderson, giving the Bulls two free throws and possession.

Hoiberg made the free throws, and Best made a spinning layup to bring the Bulls within 99-98.

Hoiberg, who scored 12, then hit a 3. Rose made a turnaround jumper to give Chicago a 110-106 lead.

Houston made a 3 to bring the Knicks within a point, but Best made a steal and got a rebound. Rose's free throw with 15 seconds left gave Chicago its final margin.

Houston scored 16 first-quarter points for New York, which opened up a 34-21 lead.

Rose made a layup, and Greg Anthony hit a 3 as the Bulls started the second quarter with a 15-4 run that made it 38-36.

The Knicks rebuilt a double-digit lead and led 51-43 at halftime. Houston had 21 points and Kurt Thomas had 12 at the break for the Knicks.

In the third quarter, Chicago rookie Tyson Chandler blocked a shot but caught part of the backboard with his left hand. He came out of the game with a jammed thumb.

Greg Anthony also injured his left hand, leaving the Bulls with only seven available players until Chandler returned early in the fourth.

Houston and Sprewell made 3s, and Jackson hit a layup at the third-quarter buzzer for an 83-75 Knicks lead.< ^Notes:mad: Anthony was activated from the injured list after missing 14 games. Guard Norman Richardson, also acquired from Indiana, was placed on the injured list with a left ankle sprain. ... Chicago forward Marcus Fizer was out with the flu. Eddie Robinson and Charles Oakley also missed the game. ... It was the third straight game the Bulls played short-handed. ... Bulls center Eddy Curry scored 16 points.

Here was the bulls starting lineup tonight:

    C:Eddy Curry
    PF:Tyson Chandler
    SF:Jalen Rose
    SG:A.J. Guyton or Hassell
    PG:Travis Best

It's a great deal for Chicago!!! They weren't doing **** with Mercer/Artest/Miller! They lose NOTHING by doing a trade!

And this also gives the kids time to play and it looks like they can produce. They also got a solid PG in Travis Best and someone who can shoulder the load while the kids improve into solid players.

I find it hilarious that the United Center felt it was such a huge win, that confetti was needed to celebrate the victory over a previously 20-31 team. Way to go!!! I bet it felt as good as the 6 titles.

It's funny how Rose got all caught up in the situation by saying, "It's a blessing to be in a city that believes in you and is starved for a championship."

The city might be starved for one, but too bad "Crumbs" Krause isn't.

I'm sorry, but I just hate when teams/players get caught up in the moment of beating a bad team at home.

The Rockets do that all the time, and it pisses me off too.

I'm not sure, but I think they use the confetti for every victory. They used to, anyway.

It was a fun game to watch. Rose really fired up the crowd and played well.

The Bulls might not fare so well against a team with a(n imposing) front court, but it was a great win nevertheless.

It seems very common for a team to be very energized for the first couple of games after a big trade or a coaching change. Obviously, this game was going to be especially important to Rose and Best because they have something they needed to prove. I'll reserve judgement on the trade until they've finished the season. If Rose still looks like a star, I'll say the Bulls got the better end of it (and that Thomas can't coach).

kidrock8, Your negative comments are not gonna take anything away from last nights game. This was not about chicago it was about Jalen Rose and Travis Best 2 winners who were left for dead by being traded to the 1 of the worst teams in NBA history. But guess what Jalen and Travis are 2 winners and they will shine above this great task and turn the BUlls into a respectable team again. Stop hating

    Respectable team? LOL. :D
Best, Hassell, Rose, Chandler, Curry and NO bench. They are still the worst team in the league in my opinion.

This is the best thing that ever happened to Jalen Rose. He is now the main weapon and should expect some major stat upgrades. With the Pacers this year, 18 PPG, I will safely guess he gets atleast 25 a game with the Bulls. This could turn him into one of *the best* players in the game.

Another beautiful comeback by da bulls. Rose was locked down by Marion all night and then with about 6 minutes to go and the score tied at 73 in the 4th, Rose turned it on and won the game 92-83. Bulls first win against Pheonix since 97. Third time this season Bulls win back to back games. Chandler did good too with 16 pts, few blocks, boards.

    Recap:
CHICAGO (AP) _ Jalen Rose is not only connecting with the Bulls' home crowd, he's making a smooth transition with his new teammates as well.

Rose scored 22 points and reserve Marcus Fizer added 21 Friday night as Chicago held off the Phoenix Suns 91-83.

"This is a great opportunity, not only for myself but for those guys to get better and learn how to win," said Rose, who played all 48 minutes.

The Bulls are 2-0 since adding Rose from the Indiana Pacers this week, and in both games the newcomer has gotten United Center fans as excited as they've been all season.

"The thing about a crowd that's seen a team win six championships is, you don't have to whip them into a frenzy, you just have to stay in the game and give them something to cheer about," Rose said. "The last couple nights, we've been doing that."

Tyson Chandler, whose play was improving even before Rose arrived, added a career-high 16 points and eight rebounds for the Bulls.

Rose and Chandler had trouble hooking up on a couple of alley-oop attempts, and Rose misfired on a few other passes, but the two finally made one work in the fourth quarter, sending the United Center into semi-delirium.

"I told him after that one missed alley-oop that we're going to find a way to connect," Rose said. "He's real active and keeps his hands high. He's really going to be a threat."

Chandler was just pleased at the attention from Rose and Travis Best, who also came over from the Pacers.

"I'm not used to getting passes," Chandler said. "They are making it a lot easier for us."

Rose was 13-for-24 from the field for 36 points in his Bulls debut Wednesday night, but he struggled shooting against the Suns, going only 7-of-19. He had a solid all-around game, getting four assists, four rebounds plus a pair of blocks and steals.

Stephon Marbury had 27 points and rookie Joe Johnson _ acquired from Boston on Wednesday _ tied his career high with 23 points and set a new one with 11 rebounds.

The Suns made a couple of runs, but had 19 turnovers to hurt their chances.

"Those things are just momentum busters," Suns coach Frank Johnson said.

Marbury had nine points in the third as the Suns twice pulled within a point, but the Bulls ended the quarter on an 8-2 run to lead 65-59.

Johnson scored eight points as the Suns tied it 73-all with six minutes left.

Rose made a foul shot and a jumper to give Chicago an 80-77 lead, and hit four free throws in the final minute left to give the Bulls an 89-81 advantage.

"I played good defense on Jalen, but he still killed us with some tough shots," said the Suns' Shawn Marion, who scored 16 points.

Marbury scored 10 points and Marion had six points as the Suns led 25-17 after one quarter. Chicago caught the Suns at 38 late in the first half and Rose, who was 3-of-9 shooting in the first half, highlighted a Chicago run with a big defensive play.

As Marion drove for the hoop, Rose blocked his shot from behind. A.J. Guyton got possession and threw a long pass to Chandler for a ferocious dunk, waking the crowd.

The Bulls ended the half with a 12-2 run to lead 47-40.

Johnson had 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting in the half for the Suns, and Fizer scored 13 for the Bulls.< ^Notes:mad: Suns guard Randy Brown was placed on the injured list with a strained right abductor muscle, an injury that has kept him out of all but one game this season. Forward Alton Ford was activated. ... Guard Penny Hardaway (left knee sprain) was in Toronto getting treatment. ... The Bulls played shorthanded for the fourth straight game, suiting up nine players. Swingman Fred Hoiberg (sprained right wrist), guard Greg Anthony (bruised left hand) and forward Eddie Robinson (left groin strain) sat out. ... Forward Charles Oakley played after missing nine games with a sore right wrist. ... Fizer was back after missing one game with the flu. ... Marbury was 10-of-10 from the line.

PS: From now on this will be a like a forum within a forum, I'm putting everything related to the Bulls in here. :D TAKEOVER!!!!!!

Man oh man. This trade justs keeps looking better for the bulls. Rose, Best and company lit it up again as the Bulls recorded their 3rd win in a row and their first 3 W streak since 99.

    Recap:
The Chicago Bulls are prospering by playing an uncomplicated style of basketball.

"We're still in a transition period," Bulls coach Bill Cartwright said. "It's just simple basketball."

Reserve Marcus Fizer scored a career-high 30 points , and the Bulls have a three-game winning streak for the first time in two years after beating the hapless Golden State Warriors 105-91 Saturday night.

Reserve Travis Best had 16 points and nine assists for Chicago, which last won three in a row in January 2000. Jalen Rose had 15 points and six assists, and Tyson Chandler added 14 points for the Bulls, who also have their first three-game winning streak at home since April 1998.

Fizer has averaged 21 points in his last four games, nearly 10 above his average, and said the addition of Rose and Best has made the Bulls much more efficient on offense.

"Jalen has been giving me the ball in great situations, and so has Travis," Fizer said. "They make it a whole lot easier. We don't have to work nearly as hard to score."

The Bulls are 3-0 since making a deal Tuesday for Rose and Best, who said the Bulls had capable players already.

"I feel like the guys on the this team are talented. They can score," Best said. "They just didn't get an opportunity in the books when the other guys were here. Sometimes teams have good talent, they just don't play together.

"It's just putting people in the best possible position to score. Passing the ball, that's the difference."

Gilbert Arenas and reserve Troy Murphy scored 16 points apiece for Golden State, which has lost six in a row and 21 of 24.

Rookie Jason Richardson, who scored a career-high 35 points Friday night against the Bucks, shot 4-of-13 and had 11 points.

"I can't score a career high every night," Richardson said. "We're tired, our legs, and we're out on a long trip. We're young and we're still not used to playing with each other."

Chicago got the lead late in the first quarter and was up by as many as 23 points late in the game.

Warriors' center Erick Dampier went right at the Bulls' Eddy Curry for nine early points as Golden State led 19-12 midway through the first period. A.J. Guyton later fed Chandler for two alley-oop dunks, and Chandler had 10 points in the period as the Bulls led 29-27.

Golden State stayed within two points in the second period, but Fizer had six points in a 16-4 Chicago run late in the half to a 57-42 lead.

Golden State missed its first seven shots of the third period, and didn't make a basket until Foyle's putback with 6:24 left in the quarter. The Bulls increased their lead to 19 points as Guyton made a jumper and a 3.

The Warriors put together a 9-2 run to get within 78-67 late in the third quarter. But Best spoiled their momentum by hitting a buzzer-beater from just beyond midcourt, and Chicago led by 14 points entering the final period.< ^Notes:mad: Golden State Center Dean Garrett, acquired from Minnesota this week, has not yet joined the team, missing two games. ... Forward Danny Fortson, who after starting 51 straight games did not play Friday night because of coach's decision, had one point in seven minutes Saturday. ... The Bulls played short-handed for the fifth straight game, suiting up 10 players. Guard Greg Anthony (bruised left hand) and forward Eddie Robinson (left groin strain) did not play. ... Bulls guard Trenton Hassell had a career-high 10 rebounds. ... Adonal Foyle had six blocks.

Eddy Curry also had a nice game with a threesome of blocks and 14 pts.

Curry and Chandler are both special. Both have the desire to improve and be stars, just like KG did.

I wish Kwame got a chance but there's no way any highschool rookie is gonna get a chance on a playoff team.
