Based upon what other than your opinion? Conley was a Lottery pick who leads Brooks in nearly every statistical category save FT%. And don't give me that "bad numbers on a bad team" crap. That only makes Conley's 4.8 APG (compared to Brooks' 1.8) all the more impressive. Although not important for a PG, you would think Brooks would grab more DRebs...you don't get a lot of DRebs on a bad defensive team. Conley averages 2.0 DRebs to Brooks' 0.8. The TO's are comparable considering MEM plays at a much faster pace. Conley's Efficiency rating is over 2X that of Brooks. Brooks has been a pleasant surprise. But for the unbiased, not suprising enough to replace Conley.
Conley averages twice the minutes Brooks does (26.2 to 13.2). Multiply Brooks' stats times 2 you get: Points per game (Conley/Brooks) 8.8/10.6 Assists 4.8/3.6 Rebounds 2.5/2.2 As you'd expect Brooks is more a scoring guard and Conley's more the point guard. But Brooks doesnt get the nod over Conley, agreed. And Conly is slightly better on the other stats too like steals, FG%, games started, etc
