Think about this: This year's rookie game includes: 2 current Rockets (Steve Francis/Cuttino Mobley) 1 former Rocket (Michael Dickerson) Two were drafted by the Rockets, one was traded for the other. That could be a record. If there had been a rookie game last year, we would have had TWO players, plus one this year. That makes it seem even more amazing, if you ask me. Way to go Rudy and CD!
Now if we could just get one of our players into the all-star game .... Right now it appears Francis is our only hope for the future but he is gonna have to beat out Payton and Kidd and their hype. Not an easy task.
Even more interesting- Couple of years ago, we had Rhodes in the Rookie game. Year before that, Maloney. Neither of these guys were high picks at all.
And Rhodes is where? And Maloney's doin' what? I love Rudy and think he's a good coach, but why does everybody seem to glorify the admittedly very good players, but somehow forget the duds we've had? Be objective people... Now go trade Mobley. ------------------ trade them all and fire the coach.
