How bad is it really? http://www.sportsradio610.com/episode_download.php?contentType=36&contentId=3219036 Les alexander interview from last week 12-17-08
From what i understand he has two torn ligaments in his ankle they can flare up at anytime and can hurt like hell... I myself wondered why doesnt he just get surgery on it but if he can play thru it then so be it as long as he's ok come the Finals... BRENT BARRY WITH A THREEE!!! sorry this has just been a great game to watch (@ NJ)
It's not too bad, I mean he'll need surgery at the end of the season but it's not major. It's going to be alright for Ron, he's a warrior.
I'm more concerned about how long he can tolerate and bear that pain in his ankle.I got my ankle sprained and my ligament seemed broken a year back,It's unbearable when I get on the court trying to defend somebody dribbling around and popping for the Js.I went to see a Dr. and rested for about 2 months to get healthy. Well,I know it's not the same case, but I doubt how long he can maintain the level he's at right now.He played not much minutes during the game but the intensity is high and possibly could aggravate his injury. Hope we can pull it through and finally gel together at full capacity and WIN IT ALL!!
Ron isn't a pogo stick who relies on his jumping prowess anyways, he can play through the pain as long as he doesn't make it worse. I wonder if Les was making a backhanded jab about Tmac in that quote...
