ownership is everything. the clippers have been in LA for decades....people have never broken down the walls to play for them before. Soon people will realize the cities these teams are in matter less than 10% of the players decession
NBA & Stern will never admit it, but Paul leaving the Hornets is the best thing for the league. Even with him the Hornets have not been able to sustain much local fan support. As a result, his departure will cause the team to fall to the back of the standings and the team to have more money issues. Those reasons and the fall from headlines will make it so most NBA fans will not really notice when the team is disbanded.
i understand stern trying to use paul to sell the NOH to a new owner but a good deal with young talent and payroll relief would be a easy sell compared to nothing. I know stern wouldnt do it for nobodies but Rondo has a name for himself.
What are the Hornets going to do with both Okafor AND DeAndre? There has to be another team involved if this happens
Rondo-Paul swaps makes no sense. Chris Paul plays 75% of the defense Rondo plays, but is a better passer, scorer, shooter, leader, athlete and has better court vision and marketability.
rondo's not a better scorer or leader. he has a heinous jumpshot and with the big 3, he doesn't do as much leading as paul does, who's on the team by himself and west.
