What are your thoughts? Link I was listening to "The Herd" the day after and he mentioned how, refs let the players play, in the last seconds regardless of the sport... he gave examples of Football last second game is tied and QB launches a hail mary, a lot of things go on when the players are about to catch that don't get called. Also, he used the example of Reggie, when he made those two big threes, the second coming off of a shove. And last when MJ "pushed" Bryon Russell in the final seconds, of the eventual game winner. Personally, I hate the fact Rondo, got away with the Brad miller foul, that was obviously not a foul that was an attempted block, for those who didn't see it:
Stern strikes once again. He realizes that this series is dynamite and is getting big ratings, so he won't pull Rondo out of Game 7. My guess is that he wants Boston to advance to the next round (I mean, who really wants to watch the Bulls), and suspending Rondo would kill Boston's chances. I have some serious mistrust issues with Stern. I could be completely off base here, but I really think he interferes more than he should
Hinrich should have just knocked Rondo out after getting slung into the scorers table... tonights game should be another classic one but its gonna be real physical/ugly
I'm surprised there hasn't been any retaliations. If the Celtics are winning and have a clear lead....watch out. Rondo better stay away from the basket. Hell, I'd throw him into the scorer's table just to see what happens. The precedent has been set that you will not get thrown out of the game.
Colin Cowpatch's examples don't apply. Last second shot stuff (including Rondo's obvious flagrant on Brad Miller Tuesday) is completely different from what Rondo did Thursday. The NBA is showing cowardice and is choking in the clutch. If Rondo gets decapitated and hurt tonight, Stern and his crew deserve part of the blame for not punishing Rondo before a Bulls player takes the matter into his own hands. Seriously, if the Celts blow the Bulls out, Doc Rivers should sit Rondo as soon as he can or a Bulls player will blast him.
During Game 6, I wanted Lindsey Hunter to approach Vinny Del Negro and be like "Hey, I'll take a hit if you compensate me." If there was an agreement, Hunter should've grabbed Rondo and thrown him into the stands. Bulls would get their payback and it would have forced the NBA's hand into either letting it both go or suspending them both. If neither got suspended, at least Rondo would've been mauled by Bulls fans.
Any1 with a video of the altercation between Rondo and Hinrich ? If one pushes another into the scorer's table that should be an automatic flagrant + throwing an elbow, doesn't matter he missed, is ejection. Subsequently, a suspension of at least 1 game at least since Rondo smacked Miller in game 5. Again a clear sign of how the NBA is controlled, rigged and tainted. The only reason I watch it is because the Rockets have a great team and some great individuals in Mutombo & Yao. The rest I couldn't care less about.

If I were a Bulls player, I would absolutely throw Rondo into the scorer's table tonight. The precedent has been set that you won't get punished more than a flagrant 1, and if the Bulls player IS ejected, the league's hypocrisy would be so high that fans would be outraged. Stern is all about upholding his image, and this would be a major chink in his armor.
So...Amare and Diaw got suspended last year because they left their bench but Rondo has: 1. Punched Brad Miller in the face in Game 5 2. Thrown Kirk Hinrich into the scorer's table in Game 6 3. Took a swing at Hinrich in the same game And he gets away scott free. This league isn't fixed at all
Rondo definitely gets cheap and dirty at times, at that was evident last year. Celtics fans will just say he's got a "nasty" streak and love him for it. Fun how homerism puts a different tint on the glasses. Absolute garbage that the league won't deal with him honestly. Shades of the league-sanctioned Spurs thuggery on Steve Nash a few years ago.
On the other side, expect the Celtics to go prison ball again if somehow Chicago puts this game away with time left. Perkins would be the guy I expect.
Lmao. Yeah, there's no doubt that Stern meddles a lot more than he should in some games. Things like this have been tainting the league against Stern for years but he still stays in power because of "all he's done for basketball". How Stern and Selig stay in I'll never know.
geez guys, read the last part of my sign. its been that way for 20yrs stop acting like this league isn't imba.
+20 if bulls grow a pair and toss that pos pg into the stands tonight. part of the bigmans role is to enforce the unwritten rules
