I love the racist comments that follow it on the Yahoo! version of this. Why are conservatives so racist?(JK) I think Ron had a very good point, but part of me thinks why is he saying this and how does it benefit him. Ron really isn't one to put his neck out there unless it'll somehow benefit him. I could be wrong tho.

The one on the payphone gets me going. I think thats even more of a tease, she talks dirty on the phone with you, but she doesn't even acknowledge her when you hit on her on campus... maybe I'm revealing a bit too much... LOLz
Josh Howard was (is?) just stupid. But I understand what Artest is saying and I don't think he's trying to gain anything by it except to express what he feels. I'm not black, so I'm not claiming to know how he feels that way. But I have to say that sometimes politically and culturally I have a similar feeling to Ron, I think, like "Is this my country or what? Is my country for me?" For example, I'm a Democrat and in my lifetime there have been 7 Republican terms and 3 Democrat. I'm starting to get a feeling like, "You know, in some way, my country doesn't seem to see things the way I do." If you're black, and your country hasn't had a black President in more than 200 hundred years of history, it's got to say *something* to you, doesn't it?
This thread has the potential to go downhill fast if we start talking about racism and politics. Then again, that was pretty much the point of the thread. I smell chaos.
I agree: no politics! There's no point because no one convinces anyone of anything. I just want to say that I think Ron has real thoughts and he's not just plugging whatever it was that was mentioned. I'm trying to hear him. I have to admit that I identify with Ron Artest more than any other Rocket. I've wreaked some havoc and some people have thought I'm bad or dangerous or even scary. But I'm just a nice guy who happens to have a lot of energy, like Ron Artest
