Has really become a joke...they don't even guard him, he has the easiest looks in the entire NBA...my god its a joke.

but how did he decline so much so fast?

yeaa, his offence here last year, though at times horrible, was 20x better than his offence now. it seems like hes completely lost confidence and looks really lost out there. you can tell he doesnt like to force, and tries to let the other guys do the job, but for some reason still once in a while throws up a  3pointer

Are you talking about when he declined in last year's playoffs? He killed the Rockets against the Lakers and now he's killing the Lakers against the Celts.

    Good job Ron Ron!

Even the LA hype machine can't hide the trainwreck that is Ron Artest's play.

Honestly, I think it is because of transitions.

On the Kings, you could argue that Kevin Martin was the man offensively, but Artest had to be consistent on both offense AND defense; he was pretty much the leader of the team, tbh.

Fast forward to his time with the Rockets. Artest shaves off that "I'm the man" burden, playing with Yao and Tracy, and even Scola / Brooks who could put up great numbers night in and night out. Artest is mainly needed for defense and mentality, not offense.

Finally, as he went to the Lakers, he is put in that same scenario, where Gasol represents Yao, and Kobe represents Tracy / Aaron / Scola / offensive output.
Artest further falls into "D only, because the O can come from everyone else."

    This

We took LA to seven despite Artest's poor offense. He gave us zero in the road games after yao went down.

He quit practicing on his jumper scratch that basketball all together (seems that way) and focused too much attention on lifting weights.

Ron's shot selection isn't as bad as it was in Houston.

He just can't make wide open shots. He's even hesitant at this point.

Without Ron, Rockets wouldn't have gone to game 7. Heck, maybe not even past the first round..

Absolute BS dude. please. did you even watch?

What about some tall dude who played for us.. i think his name is Yao Ming?

and what about AB? those were the guys who made a HUGE difference.. Ron was single handedly f-in up the offense . go watch the series again.

and btw.. We would have reached game 7 even with T-Mac on the team.. Yao and AB were THAT good.
