    yeah that stuck out to me too. kinda crazy though. he will get hit for the ref thing but not touched for the drinking and smoking

    I don't think Ron meant Crawford literally SAID it. What he meant is likely that the way Crawford officiated, he was basically sending the message that Kobe shall be protected at all cost.

    I wonder what Ron has done to the Rockets and the fans to make so many posters here dislike him so much. I find it pretty bizarre. I seriously cant think of anything he has done (aside form a shoe toss and a couple bicep flexes to the crowd) to solicit such strong feelings of hate.

    You serious?? Joey never actually SAID that. Ron was just saying that Joey was IMPLYING that by the way he was officiating the games. Ron's pinky toe gets more respect from me than Joey Crawford, and I'm not even that big of a Ron Artest fan.

    ...how anyone who follows the game of basketball can have any respect for Joey Crawford is beyond me - the guy is a disgrace who let's his ego and temper get in the way of his job constantly. If I were as good at my job as Joey Crawford, I would have been fired a long long time ago.

    Watching the NBA is just a waste of time until they clean house with regard to the refs.

    The current crop needs to be purged, and the rules systematically readjusted to eliminate subjectivity.
