“Well what happened was…obviously I didn’t know his shoe would come off that’s the first thing conservative reporters. I didn’t know his shoe was gonna come off. I don’t speak to his feet so I don’t know what his feet are thinking, I don’t know what his toes are thinking, I don’t know what he’s thinking. Then his shoe comes off and I’m like okay a shoe is not supposed to be on the basketball court without somebody standing inside of it. So I said alright, I’m just gonna buy me some time. I really didn’t know whose shoe it was, but I said it has to be one of the player’s shoe. As soon as I toss it off the court, not throw into the stands which some people said, it’ll buy me some time. What happens is I come back down, Trevor is trying to put his shoe on and I politely hit a three in his face.” You can read the rest of the interview with Carmichael Dave here: http://sportsradiointerviews.com/20...ome-back-down-trevor-is-trying-to-put-his-sh/
If anyone was put in that situation they would do the same thing. In before the "ARTEST IS SUCH DOUCHE BUGGGGGURY I HATE HIM SO MUCH"
I concur. Shoes don't come off very often, so it's not like we're used to reacting to this. Still, do you naturally expect someone to throw it off the court? NO. Why? Because you expect the guy who lost his shoe to pick it up! A ball boy or a referee would also be better suited to removing it behind the play or handing it back to the player. Artest is just being his usual attention-w**** self.
Artest is not above cheating and usually Douchebag moves to get his way. I don't believe in karma, but I sure as hell wish something similar would occur to where some irony is added in place as well.
What horrible lying. Anyone who looked at the replay knew Artest saw the shoe come off Ariza. Everyone knows that when Ariza started to pick up his shoe, Artest grabbed it first. He knew whose shoe it was and saw that same person trying to pick it up. Instead of leaving it alone, he picks it up and throws it.
