Hey guys, we are expected to have Ron on the show today... We expect it sometime in the 11am block... DISCLAIMER - We have a lot to talk to him about beyond hoops, but of course we will get some hoops in... You can stream it at 1560thegame.com I can't guarantee I will get your question in, but I will try... Regardless, Hardisty joins me at 2:30pm...
ask him why he gambled on that steal on kobe with 3 sec left. did he know the clock was running out???
Serious Question: What could he and Yao do better from a leadership standpoint to help the team close out games?
Please, ask him if hes capable of finish a hard game without shooting in the last minutes, seriously, I think he can't be 6 consecutive possessions passing the ball. Also, what must improve Brooks in final minutes, and current weaknesses of the team.
Ask him that since Peta starts with the letter "P"........and so does the word....Pass...... That maybe that is a sign from God, that it is ok to actually PASS the basketball. DD
Tell him that dont try to jack up in the last few mins,he'd better attack to the rim or pass the ball to Yao.
Ok fine, I will play nice. Ask him how he likes playing in Houston, and what are the chances he stays here. Ask him if NBA players are worried about the financial situaion of the economy and does he expect that to have an effect on the deals for free agents this year? If he says yes, follow up with a question asking if players might just sign one year deals to give themselves a chance to make it up once the economy flips around? Ask him, about our young fellas, Brooks, Landry, Wafer and what he expects from each in the coming weeks and playoffs. Ask him, whether DD is a bra size or the BBS' best poster. DD
One more question: What does he think about our two young point guards? Or more specifically, how does he and the team play differently with Brooks at the PG and with Lowry? What are the differences in style and pace?
Please let him know that lots of fans are not happy for his recent stupid plays on the offensive end. What is wrong with him? This team needs a smart play on every position rather than dribble, dribble, and take a jump. It was very frustrating to watch him when he is holding the ball, refusing to pass to someone else.
Taking difficult/bad shots is just part of the package you get with Ron Artest. That's how he's always played. You get hard-nosed defense, all-out effort, and streaky offense. It's funny how when he was hitting all those shots, where were complaints? He was instrumental in us getting a win at New Orleans without Chris Paul. He just shut down the Tayshaun Prince. He's slumped recently, but he was shooting like 55% on threes for 2 straight weeks. I don't think he deserves to get roasted when he's taking the time to do local radio and he, along with Yao, has been leading the team to a pretty good record since McGrady went down.
Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Paul Pierce. Can you ask him to rank them in order of toughest cover for him? Also, who does he think should be the MVP (no Rockets allowed)?
I kinda agree with that. But I was complaining about his shot selection even when he was hitting them. It is nice to attempy 8 3s when you make 4,5 of them. But when you come back to the earth, you gotta know you have to find different ways to score and start attacking the basket. I understand Ron is a pretty good shooter, but after 0-3, 0-4 start you gotta start thinking about your next attempt.
