At least, I think I've figured a bit of him out. One of his main problems...he plays against the crowd. He will react to a crowd, even at detriment to his team. When an opposing crowd gets fired up, he will single-handedly try to silence them. He's like the little-league kid, or the schoolyard show-off who instantly tries to retaliate once he's been shown up (i.e.) scored on.
I remember as a kid, watching games, I'd marvel at how Bird would react when he got shown up by Jordan or Magic. He would literally go back down on offense and work within the offense. I always marveled at this as a kid...how much focus it took to just get freaked on national tv and in front of 15,000 folks in person...and actually PASS the ball the next time you touch it, rather than try and get a little 'revenge' right away.
Though Ron is not going into the stnds physically anymore to interract with the opposing fans, I think mentally he's going into the stands TOO often. He's playing to the crowd, instead of playing against the team on the floor. He's living theatrically, not practically. He lives to sink 'the dagger' deep into the chest of the opposition...while most of the time in this game, the opponent is killed from a thousand little nicks systematically delivered by an offensive plan.

    #24 can do that.
    #96 can't.

Im not saying Ron cant get hot.
Hes the leading scorer because he isn't passing.
It's all good when they are falling...but we all know that they don't always fall.
And we all know that, whether they are falling or not, Ron has a tendency to play the game in his head rather than the one on the floor.

    He's hitting shots tonite.
    GOOD.
    Fortune sometimes smiles on us.
Now...get Yao Ming shots and stop tempting fate.

STOP PLAYING ONE ON ONE BALL.
Again, no #24 on our team.

he's 6-11 FG, which is more than okay, yes he's taken some bad shots, but he made some big shots too.

I don't mind him shooting within the offense..that is his job...it is when he goes nuts and the ball stops moving that the team dies on the vine.

Artest just jacks up bricks from behind the arc. I wish he would never shoot one again. He shouldn't be allowed to shoot in the 4th qtr.

He hasn't done that on both the playoff games!!!!! Lay off you crazy obsessed hater. You act like people don't change their ways. Artest clearly has just taken open and quick buzzer shots. Maybe 2 or 3 shots were crazy, but no more than the season by FAAAAAAAR. Sit down all you Artest haters, you have no play to criticize for the fact he has done well for him self both in the regular and post season.

    SIT DOWN!!!!

I cringe when he shoots the crazy "I'm a hero" shot.

He was 2-9 the rest of the way. Finished 1-8 behind the arc with awful defense on Roy to boot.

He just thinks he is better than he really is...and his efficiency is for crap.

I love his toughness, but his offense is just not great.

And even though he had 15 points in the 1st quarter, you just knew he would cool off but would keep on chucking....well.....4 pts the rest of the way.

    Dang.
