For the 2nd straight day, I heard him interviewing someone with ties to the Lakers organization. Today it was the general manager (who's name I forget).

Anyway, Rome gave him the opportunity to praise other teams by asking him something along the line of, "Which teams are you afraid of this year?" His response was: the larger teams, like Portland (who they beat pretty easily last night), San Antonio, Sacramento, and even Golden State. As a Rockets fan, I'm bitter at the lack of respect he gave us, mentioning a bottom-dweller like GS and not even thinking of Houston, who has enlisted the biggest Shaq-killer of them all, Kelvin Cato. C'mon! Is he seriously more concerned about GS than about the two headed monster of Kelvin & Kevin??? Puh-lease!

that is o.k. because the numberr 2 seed (the lakers) won't meet us (the #1 seed) till the conference championships anyway so we have time to gain their repect.

We are the team that is unspeakable! They won't say our teams name or write the name because they are afraid. Very afraid. [insert smiley with fangs here].

The Lakers have always had grudge against the Rockets, going back to the shot heard around the world, to the Rockets sending Magic into a premature retirement in 1996. The Rockets are a team the Lakers should at least keep an eye on. A solid perimeter team, with speed and quickness, and decent frontcourt production. I'd think the Rocks, especially with veterans like Rice and Willis, would cause them more trouble.

Ya even Rome was taken back by the GS comment. All of a sudden GS has become a power because they matched Marc Jacksons offer sheet. I think we are better off with Wills but since we lost out on all the FA (Dream, Jackson) we don't get much respect.

Jim Rome's a sellout, did you guys know that you now have to pay a fee to listen to his old shows on the internet?

Also did this guy mention Dallas as a team to be afraid of?

I think Dallas fans would have more reason to be upset about his comment than Rockets fans.
