My gf wants to go to Galveston for Valentines day. I know many many restaurants in Houston, but know crap when it comes to Galveston.

Anyone know of any fine dining romantic places? How about Clary's or Shearn's or Terrace at Moody Gardens?

Been to Kemah many times. Its alright. Nothing super nice. Think we've eaten at all the good restaurants on the Boardwalk. They are all decent. Except for Aquarium...which is below decent. Nice atmosphere, but the food is adeqaute at best.

My favorite restaurants in Galveston are Rudy and Paco's (similar to Churrascos) and the Saltwater Grill.

You might look into Luigi's...a nice Italian restaurant, or the Steakhouse at the San Luis.

Conventional wisdom dictates that Gaido's should be the spot for seafood, but I'd recommend Willy'G's myself.....that is, for a fancy Valentines dinner.

For somewhat less rifined, I'd still go with Saltwater grill.

Keep it simple. Go to Casey's. It might not be the most romantic place, but nothing wrong with it in that respect, and really good food, right off the Seawall.

Willie G's on the peer. Although a bit overpriced, really good food and atmosphere unless there is an oil rig docked next to you.
