Watching the preseason games, I'm both excited and dismayed at the PG play exhibited by the following trusted to handle the rock. I thought Rafer was a goner (still maybe) but for right now, I see him and MJ (shoot'em up) getting the majority of minutes. A combination of these two would be perfect. It's going to be maybe 10 minutes for Steve if that and AB is down to zero. A combination of Steve and AB would be murder to anyone. Luther will get minutes at the 2 spot until teams figure out he's in the game and starts getting posted up. His point guard days should be numbered. Rafer: * Great passer * Low turnover to assist ratio * Above average defender (reference to steals) * Tmac actually likes this dude I think * Can't shoot to save his families life * No floaters, watching MJ hit his floaters must be killing him MJ * We're in trouble when his shot his falling, doesn't know when to stop pulling the trigger after he misses a couple. Disrupts the shots from everyone else. * Good on the ball defender * Finishes at the rim at least 75% of the time * Doesn't know when to pass, because he does it rarely when driving to the hole * Does understand the offense and will run the offense * Sets some decent screens * I think Tmac hates this dude to the 9th power and doesn't trust him Steve * AKA the dribbling machine, will kill an offense by dribbling out the shot clock and waiting for a screen * RUN THE Offense, stop waiting for the pick and roll out top * Jumper is still suspect * Can get to the rim on anybody and LOVE his finishing skills * Shoots free throws well * Rebounds all night long for a PG, but this hurts him in transition D * Lowry looked like Chris Paul against him last night * I don't think Tmac trusts Steve in the clutch either. Luther * His handles are so suspect I won't let my kids watch him * Shoots the lights out in the 4th Qtr * Can't finish to save his family plus cousins life * Defense is still suspect and will continue getting posted up like a yellow sticky * Poor decision making when passing the rock to potential shooters Aaron Brooks * 3 more inches and would be starting today * Quickness of Chris Paul with a Jumper * Plays good defense and stays in front of his man * Still learning the game * A bright rocket future
