I'm really hoping we will be seeing a lot of the first team offense and defense. Instead of 1 series from each.

I doubt they'll play much. Hopefully the various combinations of offensive linemen will get a lot of time though.

I'm 90% sure I'll be there... with disinterested wife in tow. Lower level, 50-yard line (section 126, I think). Thanks, mom and dad. :)

the first and last games of pre-season football are a joke... they shouldn't even charge full price for them (but that will never change).

You can't put any stock in either strong or weak performances. Sure it will be cool to see just how big and freakishly strong Mario Williams is... but the only thing I'm hoping for is no injuries.

IMO, the third game will be the best... the starters should play into the second half, and the team will be expected to play as they do in the regular season.

I totally agree. Pre-season games are a waste of time and money. You might see the first team for one quarter, then after that, it gets boring as hell. I'll be watching the NL Champs as the next big thing Jason Hirsh makes his MLB debut start. I was there for Oswalts against the Dodgers in '01 and I think Hirsh will be in his level.

    I'M AN ASTRO!

I don't take my wife to games any more after she got caught reading a book durring a 4th quarter come from behind victory many years ago.

That book cost her a trip to the superbowl and my buddie and I got to party like rockstars. :D

Now I take my kids and leave the wife at home. At least they yell for DEFENSE and make lots of noise.

LOL. That's funny because my wife said she was going to bring a magazine on Saturday. Hey, at least it's only preseason, right? As long as I get to go, I don't care what she does. :)

Section 504. I hear we are going to a 1-6 defensive front with Mario at tackle.

Your an Astro? How many flights have you been on?

    I'm a Texan!

    Go Rockets, Texans and Astros!

The full price is a big rip off but hey we have been waiting for football for a long time plus it's gonna be a great tailgate!

I posted this in the Depth Chart thread, but according to a practice article on the offical team website, starters will play at least 1 quarter and maybe 2 depending (probably rookies like DeMeco and Mario, unless his toes bother him, play the first half) while the 2nd team will play 2nd and 3rd quarters...with the bubble type players and scrubs playing the 4th. I like it, I want to see more than one series from Carr and I'd like to see as many snaps as possible for our new O-line guys.
