After destroying the twins for 6 innings, the Rocket is 3-0 with an ERA of around 2. If he continues like this, and finishes the season at something like 20-3 with a 2.40 ERA, does he deserve a 7th Cy Young award? I know he is getting a lot of run support, but his pitching so far has been nasty, especially for a 40 year old. I really think he shouldn't retire after this year if he can still bring it like this. That web-gem at first is just gravy.
Dude, he's only got three starts under his belt. Talking about the Cy Young right now is pretty sketchy.
Hey, the Rockets are out of the playoffs, I gotta talk about something. Anyway, he has 4 starts, 1 was a ND. I am not predicting Cy Young, just wondering if his current numbers projected out over the year, or even with a little dropoff are good enough.
It's tough to say, because who knows how anyone else will pitch in the AL this year? Also, no starter for the Yankees has a loss yet, so right now all of them look like candidates for the Cy Young. If one of the three A's pitchers has an outstanding year, I almost gaurantee they will win it. With all the hype about their young guns, the media would love to plant a Cy Young on one of them.
