A tweener type player, listed anywhere between 6'3 and 6'5. Good scorer, very good shooter. Can handle some point guard duties. Reason why I'm interested is because we have a problem with scoring, and with TMac at the point, we can afford to have a smaller offensive player. Also a good defender. Plays at a small school at Eastern Washington, but he's from Washington, so I doubt hes there because he has a lack of talent. Also had offers from Washington and Washington State.

I know we Luther is the same type of player, but Stuckey has better PG skills and can play both guard positions without giving up too much. I dont think Luther will ever be a starter either. If we're picking in the bottom 8, I think we should give this guy some looks. I'd rather get a big guy, but I doubt any worth taking would be available in our spot if we have a good season.

no, get a big guy (p. milsap type which falls to the second round) we don't need any more undersized tweeners....

well we've got another milsap type in chuck hayes. plus we could take an undersized PF in the 2nd round anyways...because thats what milsap was. i wouldnt mind tiago splitter to play backup PF and C, but i dont think hed be available. we need some scoring if tracy is gonna be like this for the rest of his career. head and vspan are the only other tweeners, but neither is starting material. stuckey can run the point and is a legitimate scoring threat. head is a 3 point threat and can cut to the basket, but thats about all he does. vspan isnt much of an offensive threat right now because he has no jumpshot. stuckey has the midrange and long range shot and has the strength to drive to the hole. if tmac can prove he can be a legit scoring threat like he used to be, then sure, go big man, but if he's content with being a point forward from now on, then we need to surround him and yao with another scorer.

what makes you think stuckey's game will translate to the NBA?
I just don't see him getting any minutes over VSPAN or HEAD.

Nor is he better than any of the two.

we are extremely thin at the front court with an ageing howard and undersized chucky (6'6).

Milsap is also an undersized tweener. He's only 6'7" and plays both forward spots. I like his rebounding, though, but we already have a player like Milsap on this team, and his name is Chuck Hayes.

i dont know if his game will translate. and i dont see him getting more minutes over vspan or head when he's a rookie, but his upside is higher than both and he could be a starter in the future while the others are role players. i'm not saying he's the answer, i'm just saying give him a look. his numbers are out of this world, and all the scouting reports have been positive. we really do need a big guy, but they're at a premium and i dont think we'd have a shot late in the draft. the one spot we could upgrade is the starting point, which we could use on a small offensive threat like stuckey since tmac seems to be our starting point guard now. trade rafer, because he doesnt seem to be doing anything, and use luther, vspan and stuckey at the 1 and 2.
