I was questioning the other day why this kid isn’t playing more. I didn’t realize his wife just gave birth to twins. When he was in Utah I remember him being somewhat of a Rocket killer. He’s 6’ 8” and only 25 years old. He can run the floor, has a nice mid range game, and shoots 37% from 3 for his career. Best of all, he’s only making 2.5 mil and can probably be had on the cheap. This is exactly the type of player of the Rockets should be pursuing. Add him, Jeremi Grant, and another 3 point shooter, and keep CC and CP3.

LeBron doesn’t like Rodney Hood so he won’t be coming to our team.

I don't hate Hood, but signing an RFA is like signing a regular FA but harder. Chances are the rockets could only offer part of the MLE. Even though he's being paid only 2.5, I think fair market might be closer to 8-10. Who knows, maybe less, but it also could be more? We will have to see what remains after the Rockets sign their guys, but my suspicion is not much will be left. Cleveland also might match if the offer is low enough too. They are well over the cap, and they could keep and then flip him? If he was a second round pick Houston could have JLin'd him, or is it Asik'd? Either way, he was a late first rounder, so to the best of my knowledge they can't.

He's played 1 good game the entire playoffs (tonight's game) and now he's on people's radar? Come on. No.

I always thought he was good but the us years playoffs make me think it is mental like ryno. Idk. Maybe he didn't get enough run.

let paul walk, offer full max to bobby brown and rodney hood, re-sign clint to 2 year vet min with 3rd year team option, then trade harden for lebron midseason?

we've seen a harden/bobby led team but never a lebron/bobby led team. add hood to the mix, and the b**** ass warriors can finally **** off!

if clint really wants to win he knows the rockets cant afford him so he has to take the vet min for the rest of his career.

He hasn’t logged hardly any minutes in the palyoffs up until now, and my objective opinion of his abilities is based off of his time spent in Utah where he averaged around 17 ppg. He’s only 25 and improved all 4 years in the league at Utah. He’s 6’8” and can defend, and get his own shot. What are the Rockets options? A 33-year-old streaky shooter that cant drive the lane or finish at the rim? I read a while back that the Rockets winning percentage is nearly perfect when Ariza scores 15 or more. Wouldn’t it make sense to sign someone that can score and won’t break the bank? Of course, I’d rather have J Grant but I fear the Rockets will miss out on some players that could help if Morey ignores them while spending all his time trying to wait for LeBron or PG.

Rodney Hood can play. Systems matter. When he was in Utah he used to kill the Rockets. I don't think they've been using him right in Cleveland

Absolutley not. Seeing Anderson being a mental midget and Mbah Moute not mentally getting over his injury has demonstrated the importance of mindset. We need mentally strong players and Rodney Hood sure as hell isnt one of those

No doubt he can play. This season just hasn't been kind to him. I would love him on a short, cheap deal.
