WHy dont we chose to go after Rodman. I juts read that he is visiting Pacers. If he is still interested, getting back will still give us the rebounding that we crave for (though Griff will really make an impact there). Rodman also doesn't need much ;offensive; touches to go.

I kinow he is a tough guy to manage, but maybe that's what our 'nice friendly team' needs....

The only thing I see him helping is selling tickets. Hmm... Rockets cant sell tickets, Les should look into this.

One of the official low points of every off-season is when some teenager comes in here and says "Rodman". I'm actually glad this happened because the board can go nowhere else but up from here.

Rodman should never come back to the NBA,his attitude sucks, and he does not have the skills to help out any team in the league.

The guy may act crazy at times but he can rebound his ass off.

I'd seriously want to have Rodman here. Granted, I wouldn't want to be his neighbor, but he's a great rebounder and a great defensive player.

He would be a great fit for us.

Assuming that Rudy and the rest of the team, can excuse Rodman's antics.

On the court, there's no better fit.

Personaly, I think RT can do with Rodman what Jackson did with him. Everyone thinks Rodman is such a bad guy, when the truth is, he just likes to party. Early in his career, Rodman devoted himself to doing the things on the court that the other people didnt want to do. This made him a very valubale asset to the Bady Boy teams and Bulls teams that won all those championships. If he feels that he has a legitimate chance of winning like he did with the pistons and bulls and if he feels he's not waisting his time, he will not let his off the court troubles affect him on the court. People really dont know it but he is a true proffessional that works very hard at what he does and is one of the best at what he does. He is a very underrated player and if management decides they want to take the extra time they need to devote to him, I say go for it.

I say no to Rodman. The Rockets didn't even want him the year Pippen came here. They didn't want him on the older team, so why have him on the younger team that we have now?

Isn't he like 40 years old?? We already have been through that phase with old players. Let's don't relive that again, especially with someone who showed at up his own book signing wearing a white wedding dress!

Honestly, its not a half-bad idea.
If we can get him cheap and with a small-length contract, the worst that can happen is that things didn't work and we release him like the Mavs and Lakers before us.

He may be 40+, but he can rebound, play strond D and gives us toughness and depth on a frontcourt that is disturbingly soft and fragile. If we fail to land Mason, Jackson, White or any one else, the Rockets should by all means go after The Worm, so long as he's physically able and ready to play. Think about it; he wouldn't command the ball, would (or should) play for a small contract, and knows how to win. A very solid short-term solution. If he begins to cause problems with the players: cut him.

The low point of this off-season isn't this thread, it has to be overblown Francis as a FA thread.

I wonder why everyone assumes the guy that posted this is a teenager?

Just cause it says "Junior Member" doesn't mean he's young, in case you didn't realize.

prob. due to a yung'uns propensity to underestimate chemistry and team and overestimate celebrity.

I have to agree with Sane here. In fact according to timm's profile he is a "Management Consultant". I wish I could have that job as a teen.

Not to take anything away from Rudy T but if the Zen Meister can't light a fire under this weirdo's a**, then I doubt Rudy T could. Besides with all the other things that he has to deal with such as Glen Rice's foot, a 19 year old rookie, filling Mo's void (which will not be with Rodman), and Kelvin Cato, I doubt he would want to take on the baggage that is known as Rodzilla. However, I agree with you on your last point.

I think Rudy T is a better coach then Jackson. The only reason Jackson is this allmighty great coach is the players he's had: Jordan and Pippen and that squad. And Rodman with them for the 2nd round of 3. Now in LA he got those 2 with shaq and kobe and the rest of those guys please i could have won an NBA championship with those squads
