Just what we need, another point guard that can't shoot.

Yeah, but Sura ain't gonna be able to hang on forever with that knee. It's smart to get someone in here now to learn the system.

Sura is looking like a fantastic pick up this off season. I hope his knee can hold up.

Well if Sura goes down then there is going to be a big hole at PG again.

    Thanks for the heads up.

You, daddy and myself are my early candidates for Cluchfan of the month. The guy who also does the video and audio clips for us is also a candidate but I cannot recall his name. ;)

    :D

Guys this is not gonna be a permanet pickup, if he is picked up at all. Temporary fix. More than likely similar to Mark Jacksons 1year contract last year. I mean give up on the wishful thinking that someone is gonna GIVE us a Andre Miller or (insert whatever point guard you like). Dude give him a shot im sure the Rockets are not even considering him as a long term fix. Sheesh, if Sura does indeed go down and Strickland is picked up by another team who is available is as decent as him??? Give them a break, if they sign him for 4 years 22 million a la Moochie then boycott 'em. Otherwise if he is signed lets just see how it pans out, stop jumping to conclusions

they have an open spot on the 15 man roster - so they may just want some insurance.

But sura needs to get his treatments and keep playing... at times he seems like the only one who cares !

Give Strickland a 10-day contract and see how it goes. The dude is a good PG but his defensive skills must have eroded.

Yikes...A 38 yr old PG that hasnt been good in years. Still little risk so long he doesnt get the old guy preference from JVG (such as taking Barrett's minutes).

arent some of you the exact same guys that cryed no without giving Sura, Barry and Wesley a chance to show if they could play or not?

I doubt seriously that if the Rockets do indeed pull him in to see what he can do, that they will give hiim some outrageous contract...I wouldnt be surprised to see a 10 day being handed out if anything...

and if he cant do the job...they move on.

how bout seeing how this plays out before panicking?

afterall...you were wrong and the ROckets were right before....what makes you think this time will be any different?

lets cover this one last time....

    The ROCKETS are the professionals..

    you are NOT.

even though he's old i would take the risk on Strickland. the guy even in his later years could get to the hoop almost at will. unfortunately he couldn't finish like he used to but he still managed to get good looks for his teammates. i'd give him a shot. Sura is playing awesome but I don't know if we can realistically expect him to keep playing while he's hurting so much. i think the same can be said for Tmac. Still got a lot of games left...
