    BARRY HAPPY: Former Nuggets guard Jon Barry said he was on the path to retirement while riding the bench for the Atlanta Hawks earlier this season but has been rejuvenated since being traded Dec. 23 to the Rockets.

    "I lost my desire a little bit when I was in Atlanta. I didn't know if I wanted to keep going, but I've had a tremendous time (at Houston)," Barry said. "I'm going to be lobbying to come back. If I don't play here, most likely I probably won't play."

    If Barry returns next season, he will have a chance to extend an impressive streak. Despite playing for seven teams (Atlanta twice) since the 1995-96 season, Barry is headed to the playoffs for the ninth consecutive year.

    ETC.: Sacramento Kings coach Rick Adelman endorsed Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni for coach of the year. Adelman commended Karl for the job he has done since taking over the Nuggets on Jan. 27 but did not believe Karl should win the award. "When you only coach 38 games in a season, come on," Adelman told reporters at Phoenix on Saturday. "The next 20 can be really tough in this league if you get injuries." . . . The Nuggets watched film and held a team meeting but did not practice Sunday.

    ditto. Its funny how things change in a year. When people first heard that we got Jon they were saying "we got the wrong barry". Personally I think he's just what we need sometimes...another good decision maker.

    I like hearing this.....he is a good guy to have on the team, seems like he really enjoys his teammates and they enjoy him. I really love seeingh him passing it behind his back on a fast break.....risky I know, but fun to watch.

    I love hearing this stuff too. Bill Worrell said during the Nuggets game that Mutombo said, "for the first time in 3 years he is happy." I think as long as the Rockets want them back they will be.

    I'd love to see Barry AND Deke back next year. They are very valuable pieces we were able to add this year. Kudos to CD.

    As regards for the title of this thread, for some reason I thought it meant he wants to come back to Denver.

    I love JB, he and Deke are amazing. Anyways, JB's expressing of his emotions on the court makes the game that much more exciting. Him jumping in the air pumping his fist and screaming after a good play. I love it.

    These are guys who cannot play in a lot of NBA offensive systems. They're the counterparts of all those guys who hanker for the full-court high-speed game JVG disdains. I'm glad we found them, and I'm glad they've found the right home. We could contend for quite a long time with Tracy McGrady, a formidable big man, and a collection of smart, tough-minded role players.

    A coach that loses 3 games since all star break gets my vote for Coach of the year...he turned Denver into a contender...
