Hey, What the heck happened to you people? I'm not just talking about you two, but others that never post anymore as well. AntiSonic? Jovi? Jenna? You guys seem to have disappeared! Let us know you're still out there...somewhere. ------------------ Nederland 2000 NBA+stupidity=Brand ROY NBA+common sense=Franchise MVP Houston Rockets Space Center- Not just another ClutchCity.NET clone
AntiSonic is still around and posts once about every 3 or 4 months. Jenna? She's still around, too. Even makes guest appearances in Rockets Chat during games. Just post something bad about Karl Malone and she'll be there.... ------------------ <this space for rent>
I sorta understand what Jenna is going through. When I was in college, I had some absolutely worthless friends also. Not quite as bad as Karl Malone, but they were pretty bad. ------------------ stop posting my damn signature
Ace I agree with you. When I joined this board back in January I quickly learned who the regulars were, but know since January I have seen a lot of them disappear off of the board. I have seen lots of new members come since January. On this my three month aniversary of registering I would like to say I miss the good old days, even though to some of the old ones think I am just another newbie. Game chats are now one of my favorite things b/c whenever I go to them the same bunch of guys are there, RockHead(like I said it's been a while), D of D, Clutch, and more(It's been a while since I was there so I am having trouble remembering). ------------------ ~John~ Hi, my name is John and I'm a clutchaholic. Clutch usually joins, then falls asleep until the last 3 minutes of the game. He awakens at that point and asks, "Headlines for the front page anyone?" The regulars are Smeg, BobFinn, RockHEAD, moi, Surfguy, and sometimes we get rf34 if he's not at the mall. I think I got everybody... hmm... anyway. Some guys make a guest appearance for a few minutes and have to run off and do stuff. Even that celebrity-of-all-celebrities Jeff Balke shows up (savourrocketsfromlosing.com). It definitely is not like it used to be at the beginning of the season. There used to be about 15-20 people in chat on any given night. I think on one night exceeded 30 in the channel which is impressive. Now I go in there and sometimes find Surfguy sittin' in there by himself like a loser.... I mean... the great fan that he is. On an average night lately we're lucky to get about 6-10 people. Fairweather fans? Obviously some of the reasoning is that fans have lost interest since the Rockets haven't been in the hunt for anything in a while. But there are others that are just busy doing other stuff. What's hilarious is the chat is building its own little traditions. Most newbies walk in and have no clue what anybody's talking about. But that's cool 'cause neither do we and we do most of the talking. Hopefully we'll get some people back in chat next year... it really is fun. BTW, it's rockHEAD, not rockethead... his head is a rock, not a rocket. ------------------ <this space for rent>
So does everybody who does the game time chat have a TV next to their computer? I have never even thought about doing it because my TV and computer are so far away from each other - then I would miss the game. Can't do that. ------------------ rimbaud post-a-thon 2000
I join the chat so I know what is going on. b/c I cant get the games up here but alot of people have TVs near them. ------------------ ~John~ Hi, my name is John and I'm a clutchaholic. Houston NHL
Hey Ace! Thanks for the post! I could have asked you the same question. Well, sort of! I check this BBS several times a day, but simply have nothing much to say. Unfortunately, I don´t get to see many Rockets games...I would have joined the chat if the games weren´t that late over here in Germany. I´ll be back for Euro 2000 discussions ------------------ What do you expect from someone who beats up his fiancee?
I don't have tv access to the game here in the DFW area. Most of the time somebody does play-by-play if necessary (like uh, when we're actually playing for something other than the lottery). I usually work in the background on my PC while watching tv on the same PC (via a tv card). I basically sit there and heckle. LOL! ------------------ <this space for rent>
DrOfDunk, ripping my ass behind my back...eh? Somebody has to hang around and start the damn chat DURING Rocket games. If noone stays, then others will come and see noone and leave. And, it just so happens that my computer is near my TV, so what the hell? When I'm there, your usually not far behind and sometimes ahead of me...hehe...so watch who your calling loser...or I mean.... excellent fan. Haha...when I started reading it...I knew I would draw honorable mention. I am a true fan. So true...so true. Having a bud. Surfguy ------------------
Damn!!! D0D has 700 posts!!!! Party at smeg's house!!!! wooo hoooo surf you bring the beer, rockHEAD will bring the girls, I will bring my band. We will party all night long. ------------------ "The bigger they are, the worse they smell."
Bob, Why do I get the feeling you, Surfguy, and Smeg would have a beer party if I had 1, 3, 18, 36, 113, 853, or 3986 posts? Anything is an excuse for beer for you guys. ------------------ <this space for rent>
Can you blame them? ------------------ ~John~ Hi, my name is John and I'm a clutchaholic. Houston NHL
