Pathetic play. Turnovers are a killer for this team and they just can't get that fixed. Francis, I'm tired of his sorry ass dribbling. They need to have Mobley and Yao as the go-to players on the floor. I don't get how we can have the worst conference record in the West, and still be 7th. They just suck right now. It looks like it's going to be an early exit and more rebuilding next year....
.....strange how a team can fade after 3 and a half periods against the best team in basketball with four hall of famers that is also the hottest team in the NBA...yep, rebuilding time.
We need better passers and francis dribbling is real annoying. We should prusue nash in the offseason. Guy can shoot and pass.
I love the effort but something is just missing from this team. You have to figure they lose this game, but in reality it was there for the taking. I just hope we get it together before we fade to 8th. DD
Umm...Nash is good for a run and gun offense. Penetrating and dishing out is what he does best. The Rockets aren't and never will be a run and gun team as long as Yao is here (and hopefully he is here for a long time). So just cause Nash is good in a different system doesnt mean he will be equally good in our system.
i dont know if he will fit either in this system either..but from what i seen when he plays he can pass and shoot. just suggesting.
The Rockets are at 7th spot, and they haven't been to playoffs for 4 years. Comparing to Lakers, they are not very mature. It shouldn't really surprise anyone if they can not pass the first round playoff; otherwise, it would be an UPSET, although as Rockets fans, we all hope that would happen. I don't think this game is all bad, at Lakers home court, they definitely wanted the game more badly, and they outhustled us. Yao is not strong enough to take both defensive and offensive major jobs. His early fouls hurt his aggression. With all the odds against us, we are still pretty much in the game until late 4th quarter, I would say that turning point was that stupid Shaq fell-over travelling turned out to be a Yao's foul. I think this loss is a good one for the Rockets, to help them come down to earth and realize they are getting better, but still a long way to go. I just don't like the overwhelming negativity after a loss, no matter how the game goes, no matter who you are against. Have some faith in our team, and be realistic, don't expect them to win right away. The big picture is always to establish yourself, build your system and team, improve continusly.
I am sorry , you have to worry about making the playoff first. The schedule we facing are brutal and we are only 3.5 games ahead of Portland.
Even when he did get it in the right spots Yao F'd it up this game...You have to admit there is enough blame to go around all over, but Missing shots has to overpower a few slips here and there...
I was being sarcastic. Everyone over here is way too quick to blame Francis for everything. I am surprised we haven't accused him of being the new leader of Al Qaida yet.
Calm down. We lost to the Lakers at full strength in LA, splitting the season series. We're locked into the 7 seed, so we really need to just take the rest of the season to try to get better and get ready for the playoffs. If we go down in the 1st round, so be it. I just wanna see some progress. But I sure wouldn't mind an upset.
If we are going to be courageous and make the required changes then an early exit is essential. If we play great then the Management will fall back into their lets mentain the status quo attitude. If this is the case we will continue to play in two directions at once and the possibility of a Championship will continue to elude us.
