Who's goin to the game in DC today? I'm about to leave in an hour or so to go up to DC (around 2 hour drive) I'll be sporting a red Rockets T-Mac jersey with my friend who will be wearing the same. I know kaleidosky is goin, anyone else?
crap. This game snuck up on me. I was hoping to go, but it's not going to work out for tonight. Oh well, at least I'll be able to see it on tv.
Yeah the game was sweet, I was with a group of 8, 6 of us had red Rocket jerseys so it was a row of red. Saw a lot of others sporting Rockets jerseys too and shouted out to them in the stadium and outside after the game. Were talkin smack back and forth between these Wizards fans sitting in front of us and being unbelievably loud. We were leading by 10 like the whole game, it was great. I might post pics/vid up tomorrow!
So I'm guessing I walked by you and your group after the game in my Novak jersey? Sounded like ya'll were laughing at me and my "Go Novak!" (if that was you) Game was awesome.. yeah, I had people pissed at me for screaming during Wizards free throws. I told them it was their fault for the stadium being so deathly quiet the whole game until the 4th. (it's always that way in DC.. same thing a few weeks ago when I went to the Hawks/Wizards game) People tried to talk mess to me about my Novak jersey at the end of the game and how he won't be in the L next year.. haha, that's all they had left to talk about! And I told them we'd have him 1 more year at least So as I asked in the post-game thread.. anyone hear any loud screaming during Wizards free throws? The stadium was really so quiet that I'd think it could've been heard on TV possibly. There were a few instances early in the game, 1st and 2nd quarter.. but the one I can identify definitely was the 3rd of Antawn's 3 free throws when Chuck fouled him.. I was quiet for 2 (that he made) and then moments before the 3rd I let out a loud bird-cry-scream-type-thing (the one he missed). Certainly pissed people off even if Jamison didn't hear it! Hopefully you did.
Oh also we got free Arenas jerseys for coming if you could find the table.. that was cool. (white ones this year...last year it was more cheaply made blue Arenas jerseys for the same game, oddly enough) And my friend won a 3 FOOT tall Arenas autographed Arenas bobblehead after the game next door at a bar. That's right...3 FEET of bobblehead Arenas..
Yeah man, we were all hyped and caught up in the moment and gettin a group picture taken by this random drunk dude that offered to...and right when you passed by with your Novak jersey I realized like 5 seconds late. I was about to yell "CLUTCHFANS?" and see if you knew what it was. But yeah after you walked away I realized that it was probably you from the forums. And no we weren't laughing at you, just laughing that we won and about how we saw so many other people wearin Rockets jerseys and hollered at em. Where were your seats? I heard about the jersey promo but I had seats in section 202 and the free jerseys were only for upper level seating so that sucked. Stadium was pretty quiet, partially cause we were winning by 10 the whole way, but me and my friend were making so much damn noise in our section and talkin smack to Wizards fans like last season when I went. But man, that was great. I have so many pics and video from the game, winning is so sweet.
yeah I was thinking I shoulda stopped a sec--my roommate was like "just go back", but we had a lotta people and there was a crowd and all.. ah well! You guys looked like you were having a ton of fun
