So like a mad man I have been waiting for today to go and catch a Rockets game in person. Since moving to So Cal one of the things I miss most are my Rockets season tickets we used to get each year with friends. I would come into the season knowing that I get to see my team live. Enjoy the atmosphere, watch the intro videos and get the chills remembering the past teams we had, and just having pure fun. So I have missed that terribly. I didn't realize how much till the season started and all I had was League Pass. It does the job, being able to hear the home announcers and all, but it's just not the same at the end. I know that it is not the same watching them here at Staples but at the same time it will have to do. I will wear my Rockets championship jacket with pride and enjoy every moment of the game. Gonna try and meet up with YoYo as well who is going to be at the game. I am afraid after seeing them live that it will leave me wanting more and I will be stuck and back needing my addicted fix. The cycle will never end. One a side note, I want a win but I am hoping to see the beast Blake Griffin at least put one monster dunk down on someone. I'll be sitting mid court nearer to the rockets bench behind scorers table in row 1. Hopefully I will get a feed of the Rockets game from Houston I can download because it will be blacked out in league pass since it's in LA. Usually they put the rockets fans on TV on our own feed.
I will be there too!!! Repping the Eddie Griffin jersey!!! Hopefully they don't think it's a Houston "Blake Griffin" jersey!
Nice....where you sitting? we need to get the clutchfans guys together for a picture to represent. Gonna probably get there around 6. Yeah man...moved out to Orange County a year ago after I got married. We actually closed down the bar before my move. Economy and downtown wasn't the same anymore. Sad considering how every major city I have been too has a bad ass downtown and around the stadiums the atmosphere is crazy. But Houston? just another story when it comes to it.
It really is, I am one of them that want to get out of Downtown Houston as fast as I can. I wonder why.
