He won't be guarding Cuttino, he'll probably be guarding Glen Rice.

    Glen is another story.....

but I doubt that they will let cuttino go unguarded by thier best defensive player in the fourth which will will most likely be MJ.

    Not mine.

And nothing grinds the gears of all of my friends worse than me hyping up Cuttino schooling Jordan upon his return. Now, it shall be a reality.

And, incidentally, my favorite player will always be Dream.

You know every guy in the NBA who has an ounce of game is going to be wanting to take on MJ. MJ has dished out so much over the years and these guys are wanting payback. Today will be the day that Byron Russell's chance at redemption begins. (Personally, I think MJ would still eat him up and the refs will still NEVER make that last second offensive foul call)

There may be some point in the season that we all say that it is so sad to see the game's greatest player being eaten up by second rate talent. Hope he proves me wrong, but he is 38.

No way Steve is guarding Jordan unless it's on a switch. No disrespect to Steve, but MJ would shoot over him all day.

I wouldn't say Cuttino is gonna school. Granted, Cuttino may be faster, but His Airness has moves Cats never seen! If Rudy is smart, he'll put Eddie on MJ. Eddie played the 3 at Seton Hall and has a heck of a wing span. ;)

H4W ! I wanna see how Rice plays MJ. Years of weak knees vs months of weak knees. It'll be interesting to see how signals to be subbed out. Anyway, there'll probably be a switch on defence with Cat holding out on MJ, he's faster than Rice and will do better on D. It'll be cool to see Francis do a triple crossover, MJ is stunned, Francis drives, Mj follows tries to block, SLAAAAAMMM DUNK !:p

Agreed! Eddie won't stop him but he might cause MJ to change some shots or work harder for others. Last year, this job would have been exclusively Shandon Anderson's.

I want to see Jordan guard Franchise so that Steve can break this old arrogant fart's ankles with his crossover move! I would want to see that and for Francis to dunk on him!:D

AI crossed up Jordan years ago, I just want to see Cat blow right by him, no move required. Will they add Wizards/Rockets games to the National TV schedule now that Jordan is back, or will I just have to see it on SportsCenter?

Until proven otherwise I still consider MJ the best SF/SG in the NBA. He may be rusty at 1st but he will be fine.

Cat & Stevie may be more athletic but it's more about brains and talent (and of course some help from the refs!)

It's great how everyone is discounting MJ, just like when he came back from baseball. Now I'm not saying he will be the same type of player he was but he will get the Wizards to the playoffs this year, with essentially a team of chumps.

He may not put up the big scoring numbers of AI or Marbury but if the games on the line I would much rathe rhave the ball in MJ's hand than any other player in the NBA.

No single player will guard Jordan. They will have soft zones and switches with the new rules. That's one reason he came back...

I don't think you can attribute zones to being one of the reasons MJ came back. Think about it! He used to thrive in one-on-one situations where he could easily out-think and out-play his defender. With the new rules, all of his former driving lanes will now be clogged up. I think he will become a turn-around jump shooter, somewhat similar to Glen Rice. His slashing game to the basket is now over, not only due to his age, but due to the zone defenses. Who else do the Wizards have that teams are going to fear? Jordan will be swamped from game one!

Yesterday, I was surfing through Dish Network's system and stopped at ESPNNWS to listen to an NBA report. This report was of course about Jordan's return. David Aldridge was reporting that Jordan will be a PG. He will defend the PG, as well. David said that it will be much easier for him to play against the PG of the East than the SF's of the East.

That makes since. Jordan can be the general on the floor.

MJ certainly isnt and never was my favorite player. He was a great player, but I dont like him one bit. I hope he falls flat on his face and returns to retirement next season if not sooner. Im not sure that will happen...but it sure would be fun to watch if it does.
