As a matter of fact, yao will get max contract almost anywhere in this league, no matter if it's for his unique ability or his cash cow value. Remember with the shoe deals from China, his teammates actually got much more than their salaries indicated. Isn't that a genius way to bypass the luxury tax? Right now yao's injury is totally different than his past ones, and is in another league of Tmac's injury. If yao's not a warrior and choose to play the second half of his last game, he'd be healthy as ever. If DM wasn't hurt in rd 1, he'd be just fine. Even now, he will be back only with some rest. Granted, yao will average 25 pts easily if he's in a average team or if he demands the ball like American stars. He only wants to win and is willing to take less shots as long as the teammates can take advantage of it. With all those being said, yao'd probably leave houston because this isn't the place to have the best chance of winning a championship. And like I said, yao will get the MAX somewhere else and it's his choice not ours.
Wow, such a wonderful, original idea for a brand new thread! Get this through your heads: As long as Yao plays in the NBA, he will be wearing a Houston Rockets jersey. The end.
Yes you are absolutely right on your first part Yao will get Max contract and anyone who thinks not doesn't understand anything about the financial side of basketball. Signing Yao is money in the bank for Les. The Rockets are already begging Yao to sign. And I am sure he will but Yao has hesitated for 1 reason. He wants to sure the Rockets are building for a Championship now. But you are terrible wrong on your second part. Yao will not leave Houston. He has a sense of home here and he will give that up lightly. The Rockets would have to trade away Scola Artest Battier and brooks and start rebuilding again for Yao to say bye. He just saw on Sunday how much heart this team has and he won't leave that. Plus I have never seen Yao more happy in his career. SO Yao is not going anywhere. So anyone who thinks Yao will not receive max dollar or Yao will leave or just not very smart.

NBA is business, and nobody is doing anyone's favor. It's just supply and demand. If Yao signs with Rockets or any other team for any amount of money, nobody is lucky or unlucky, just business between 2 parties. You are certainly not any party involved. Nobody is doing anyone's favor by staying or leaving. Quit this nonsense.
I love yao to death but man....some time I really wish we would leave so I dont have to put up with this crap from Yaofans. I hope this will happen to you dirtbag!
Hopefully the rockets dont sign him to the max so we can have room under ther cap to sign other free agents.
you act like a championship matters for yao..since you are being an obnoxious yao only fan..let me say something that hurts..yao would need to NOT get injured first during the playoffs before you want to talk about playoff championship chances. Chances are slim for Yao when it's the 4th straight season that ends with injuries. Yao can join the western all star team but in the end there's a higher chance he'll get injured before he gets close to the trophy
