Is it just me or is this more of a bidding war to prevent the other team from getting Rondo rather than actually improving the team. I think adding Rondo on either team hurts both of them since he is a ball dominant guard playing with other ball dominant guards in Harden and Ellis. And if they go to the post with Dwight or Dirk they can now double off of Rondo. I just don't see the point of this move for either team, other than just pissing each other off for sport.

No. This is Morey making Cuban overpay to get Rondo. Even the Marc Stein's of the Twittersphere know the Rockets would prefer to go after Dragic. Captain obvious tells me they want to screw over Cuban and get the better of the 2 PG's in Dragic later on.
