This surely means that we are either trading Dragic or Lowry and having fisher become our backup. This is a very smart move. We have a solid backup point gaurd vet with Lowry or Dragic as a starter plus an extra pick. LA did this for salary flexibility for sure.

People get too wrapped up in the specific player; we saw the same thing with Pau.

Who cares if Fisher is that dick from playoffs past? Fact of the matter, he and his contract fit our team right now.

If Lowry or Dragic go down in the playoffs and its Fisher who has to get off the bench and take the reigns, you could do much, much worse.

    Get over it folks.

I hope this doesn't sound harsh or mean but I think MD anderson is a plus for Fisher and his family.

It would be hard to trade for someone I hate more than Gasol, but we've done it.

I hate Fisher. He's a cheap shot, old, slow, point guard. I hope he never steps foot on the court during a game in a Rockets uniform. I'll hate him every day that he's here.

We have the best hospitals here. So Fisher should not worry about coming here.

I'd rather have the ball in fisher's hands than kmart's hands.

Have you ever known Les to buy someone out - an expiring no less? Or Morey to pay to get rid of an expiring asset?

Our only hope is Fisher retires instead of moves. But leaving 3.4 million on the table for 1 more year of riding around and going through the motion. 3.4mm?

Wouldn't be surprised if Fisher declines his option to sign up with the Lakers, and more importantly, his family next year. Or perhaps pulls a Mike Bibby and lets the Rockets off the hook for the remainder of the contract so he can go play with a contender?

Personally, having watched Jonny Flynn dribble the air out of the ball and shoot up bricks, I find it amazingly hard to believe that Fisher is any worse for 10 min a game until Lowry comes back, so I'd like for the Rockets to keep him for the rest of the year.

Why isn't anyone jumping all over this? If this is true DM managed a minor miracle, and if Cleveland absorbed Luke Walton's salary for the Dallas pick they're still really stupid.

    If its the lakers
Unprotected that pretty much ensures we are going to
    Collect this year.

For a bunch of dudes on this site, y'all sure act like some vaginas. I would welcome Derek Fisher and Marcus Camby on this team. Fisher isn't starter material anymore, but he would be great off the bench, and the guy is clutch. Camby is just what we needed as well. Someone to split minutes with dalembert, and a defensive presence. Plus we get a 1st round pick? I'll take this deal every day of the week.

I think the dude who tweeted is confused, that's way too high a price to dump Fisher and get Hill.

Didn't Fisher retire a few years ago... Why on earth would we give up more than an expiring for that old, slow-ass Laker?! Ugh!
