The next game is on NBA TV... the potential game winner... great isn't it? Should we start a letter writing campaign to networks? I'm tired of us getting the shaft. If the Blazers were up 3-1, the national networks would have Brandon Roy's dick in their mouth so fast.
But at least those of us in Houston have the opportunity to watch the game on the station with the most bestest picture quality of them all, My20.
I am still BLOWN away that two of our games are on NBA TV. I am so unbelievably pissed off that networks don't think we have a legitimate market or fan base. Don't they make BANK off all of the people who watch in China!?!?! WHY NO LOVE FOR THE ROCKETS? I had NBA League Pass all season and rarely missed a game so I am not used to this ****...having to find a spot to watch the game. Now I'll be at the damn bar on a Tuesday which won't end well if we win or lose...win I'll celebrate. Lose...I'll drown my sorrows haha.
Right now, on www.nba.com, the last game is listed as "TNT" with game 6 being listed as "n/a" for both local and national. With that being said, it's a ****ing piece of mother****ing bull**** that ANY games in the first round are shuffled off to that cunty stupid ****ing channel "NBAtv" nationally and that ultra-****ty local channel "my20" because that means out-of-town fans are doubly-****ed.
They've spread it around to all the series not involving D. Wade, Lebron, or the Lakers. I was actually suprised they put Dallas vs. San Antonio on NBAtv over Boston vs. Chicago. That right there should tell you that its ALL about the ratings, not the quality of the game (the better game was Boston vs. Chicago anyways). Houston vs. Portland has two disadvantages.... 1.) small market involved (Portland is the smallest market in the playoffs), and 2.) small market on the west coast.
I hate NBATV for one reason: They're so biased and it seems like they're pro-Blazers fans. I watched that one game on NBATV and i was shocked to hear how the commentators keep drooling over EVERY DAMM good play by the Blazers. It almost seem like they're working for a local Blazers' media. IF you're coverage for a national audience, you're not supposed to suck Blazers dicks and drooling all over them. You're supposed to make comment like how ESPN and TNT did. It just sicken me.
I'm not sure if you're being scarcastic or not... but I think it was the Blazers announcers that game, thus its why they seemed pro-Blazers. The Rockets announcers are just as bad... unless you like hearing Matt Bullard YELL at the refs from where he's sitting, or Bill bringing up his free throw jinx every time, or Clyde mumbling incoherently about why a call was bad, or not bad, or who really knows what Clyde was saying anyways.
That broadcasting team DID work for the Blazers. NBATV doesn't have its own broadcasting team, it just streams the local feed from one of the two teams playing. You were listening to the Blazers version of Worrell and Drexler, and there's a good chance game 5 will be the same way (they typically choose the home teams' broadcasters).
Or they choose the less biased broadcasting crew.... and in that case, its likely still the Blazers. Bill Worrell has become more homerish as he's gotten older... which happens to most long-time announcers. He used to give oodles of credit to other teams/players for making a game of it... now he spends all his time blaming the officials. Then again, he used to have Calvin harping on the officials all the time so that he could stick with being the pbp/straight man (and sometimes devil's advocate).... so perhaps that's played more of a role in the homerism.
Well I'm glad I'm not alone in frustration. I'm in Denton currently and being a Rockets fan is tough... especially with the Mav fans all around me. I just wish that networks would figure out how to schedule games better.
I'm just surprised local playoff games aren't PPV anymore. I bet you can get a link to the game also. Kids these days are so spoiled
