Yeah its pretty easy to make an extra 168 million when you're a superstar. 226 million over four years is a crappy deal. Harden should hold out.
Man, I would not take it if I was him. He should know that there's no guarantee the Rockets land all the muscle they're dreaming of getting. In fact, chances are slim. And that's not even a guarantee of success at getting a ring, which is what players are going to want as they get older. Plus, I think there's probably at least a few savvy coaches that look at James Harden, and say "There's a guy with inimitable physical skills. He just needs someone to properly work out his mental demons, and I can do that." James may not know that, but I suspect he'll be courted heavily as his current contract gets closer to expiration. He should just hold out and see what happens; he has all the cards.
