So all three put us at 6th in the conference. We should be winning more than 6 out of our next 10 so that ranking should either stay the same or go up.
It's ridiculous how Cleveland and Blazers are ahead of us. Yes they're easily more talented than us, but we've done a far greater job and have played a more challenging team than them. Lebron hypes again I guess.
Yes, if you were a writer, would you be counting out LeBron to get his team back on track? We def. earned our ranking and perhaps deserve higher. But, it's kind of hard to not see the potential of the Blazers and the will of Lebron.
The Hornets and Jazz, largely considered playoff teams, are in free-fall at the moment. The Jazz lost to SACRAMENTO in Utah, and the Lakers curb-stomped the Hornets without Gasol or Bynum.
If Jerry Sloan weren't Jerry Sloan -- which is to say untouchable in the SLC -- his name would probably start coming up in coaches-under-pressure talk after home L's to the Rockets and Kings and the blown lead in Dallas. The jazz are at 20th on both ESPN and NBA.com list. That's the icing on the cake my friends.
power rankings are about what's been proved not what can be proved so cabs and Portland should not be ahead of us but if they are then I amok with it because I like us to be low key!!
This was the second straight week Marc Stein referred to Houston as the "gutty little Rockets." Can't he at least try to be creative.
I don't believe that. Power Rankings are based on who seems to be the best team, so it's a bit of a mix of talent + how that talent is showing up in wins. If it was only based on Wins/Losses then it wouldn't be really worth talking about, because no team could ever get "disrespected."
Nice to get some national recognition, maybe it will translate into some actual national TV games. DD
BDL Top 10 http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...itter-Top-10-No-Pau-no-problem?urn=nba,201153 Had to post this one cause I made the twitter list Rockets #9
Great comments! "Don't call them undersized. Don't call them scrappy. Don't call them overachievers. Call them talented and winners."
good point. I think its more on whats proven and then it goes by team chemistry and im sure if i rockets beat a good team vs boston beating the kings, rockets would get more recognition(but because the rockets dont get much recognition hehe) anyways you might be right. Im sure its all mixed and at the end of the day its what the writer feels. Nonetheless its interesting to pay attention to.
Didnt the Thunder take them to OT as well the night before? Of course, we are better than the Thunder, but just because we both took them to OT wont have much weight for national tv. I would have thought an Ariva v Artest matchup would make national tv... but obviously i was wrong.
