    Power Rankings

As long as they hang onto a top-eight spot in the West, Rockets can live with being No. 3 in Texas for another season, as their trouble beating Spurs suggests.

Seems pretty fair with two straight losses to spurs

Way too high. Right now, I'd put the Rockets at 12th behind the other six Midwest teams, LA, Sacramento, Indiana, New Orleans, and Detroit (not in that order, of course). Unwatchable offense and an overrated defense. The Rockets have too many weaknessess that are just now starting to be exposed, and it will get worse before it gets better...(if it DOES get better)

Grizzlies, Jazz and Nuggest should be ahead of us.

Whenever I am feeling down and in the dumps, I can always depend on A-Train to brighten my spirits with some of his up-beat commentary.. :D

I agree that 8th may be a bit high for the Rockets, they WILL get better. I see them ending up as 6th or 7th in the league, 5th seed in the west.

I hate to say this, but Utah, -with less talent- Memphis with more talent, and Denver with More talent are ahead of us. I think it highly unlikely we make the playoffs.

This scenario puts us closer to blowing up the team, keeping Yao.....
