Wall Harden House Tucker Wood no need to overcomplicate this. We need Tucker for his defense. House for his ability to play in the flow of the offense. Gordon goes back to being a playmaker off the bench, where’s he’s been at his best. No more 3 guard lineups. It hurts our defense and depth.
He did, and whenever he had the schroeder assignment, that dude couldnt do anything to EG too. Even in the lakers series, people kept shaking about the matchup with lebron but 80percent of the time i saw eg was on him, lebron asked for a pick. I never saw lebron bully ball him or back him down. It will be interesting to see the stats on that matchup. Eg very underrated defender.
I think they start the game with Wall on the bench, but I see them staggering him & Harden like they did with Russ. I like EGo with Harden & Wall with BMac/Green, ride the hot hand. That balances out offense/defense with the guard rotation. House, PJ & Nwaba fill the minutes at the 3. Wood & PJ at the 4. Wood & Boogie at the 5. So your 12 man rotation looks like: 1. Harden 2. Wall 3. House 4. Tucker 5. Wood 6. EGo 7. Boogie 8. Nwaba 9. Green 10. Brown 11. Tate 12. Bruno Thats pretty balanced. Could use another 4/5 (Taj Gibson) & another PG (Napier)....but thats probably asking for too much.
Wall, Harden, PJ, Cousins, Wood. I see Wall & Harden sharing PG spot. Bench: EG, SG?, Ben , PF? C? (Luc, Thabo, Bruno, Nwaba, Clemons?) On paper starting 5 looks solid if Cousins/Wall are healthy. The bench seems weak in my opinion.
I do think he wants to because he’s said it but I also think he might have to. But regarding your starting lineup LOL if you think Houston would trade him for zero starters.
This is the best way of putting the most talented players together at the right highs for the positions.
not only will he stay he’ll sign the extension mark my words. money talks. Harden likes putting up stats and playing pick and roll now he can do that and now that we have some first round picks rockets can prob package ego with a pick for something different or package ego a pick and house or tucker for possible a real upgrade. Not a superstar but a borderline allstar which I think would be a big piece. I like what Stone is doing he’s getting picks he’s getting talent taking chances. I like Morey thought he built a killer team around Tmac and Yao but injuries and I also liked the Dwight deal just didn’t work out the cp3 first year team was stacked and perfect hell they won 65 games and were one game away from the finals and imo winning a chip. but the last two years he went to small ball with MDA style and you could tell it just didn’t work. stone is gambling while picking up a young guy in wood who looks like a 20/10 guy and he’s on a pretty cheap deal if he puts up those numbers. Cousins and wall are wild cards but it’s potentially great and he’s got some 1st round picks to make moves. we still have guys like tucker house and ego with the picks that can be moved to really upgrade the roster if we get out to a great start and want to boost our chances.
put wood in pf, he can do the things like Sikam. I just afraid cousins get hurt again in regular season. I trust both wall and cousins will be back to their original form
Starters: Harden, Gordon, House, Tucker, Wood. Finishers: Harden, Wall & Cousins PLUS the hot hands for the night. In the rotation: McLemore, Bruno & Nwaba 10 man rotation.
(November 12th) https://www.slamonline.com/nba/demarcus-cousins-very-close-to-return-from-acl-tear/ DeMarcus Cousins continues to recover from the left knee injury that cost him his 2019-20 campaign and may not be ready to play on an opening day roster next month. There haven’t been any specific setbacks, Cousins’ agent Jeff Schwartz tells SLAM, but the former All-Star is intent on returning at full strength and in a situation that’s going to be a good fit for him. Though Schwartz says Cousins is ‘very close’ to ready, it’s the second half of the season that’s going to matter for the 30-year-old in a pivotal comeback season.
The bench needs another big man. I'd bring Dedmon just to keep a shot blocker/pnr- lob threat on the floor at all times
For the previous stated reasons I like the Harden, Wall, House, Tucker, Wood lineup I think that will be our most balanced lineup. A bench of Brown, BMac, Nwaba, Gordon, and Cousins doesn't look bad. I'm more concerned with Walls minutes. Hopefully we have him on a minutes restriction (around 32 mins a game) and sitting out 1 of 2 on back-to-back games.
