Our starting five, if everything pans out, might be INCREDIBLE.

I see people saying Francis/Ming could be our Kobe/Shaq.

I see people saying that Griffin is our "young athletic" Garnett.

Cuttino is still all that when it comes to pure offensive, with what HP calls "the unstoppable jumpshot" or something of the sort.

Our backcourt of Francis/Cuttino is one of best in league right?

Nachbar, Euro scoring machine, could be as good as nowitzki.

Add all these up and we have:
    1. One of the best backcourt?
    2. A center that can compete with SHaq, or at-least be second best?
    3. A clone of Garnett, except younger?
    4. A Euro who could be as good as Nowitzki??

In a couple of years, if the ones who are suppose to develope do, then we might as well be fielding the all-star team.

Well, just a thought. NOthing was sarcastic, just optimism shown to me from others on the board, I just added it all up.

We will be like the lakers when shaq, lones, van exel, and i think kobe all made it on the all star team.

But i doubt Bosjan will be as good as dirk, dirk is 7 fett tall, not 6-81/2. Bosjan will be like peja.

    PG - Francis 25
    SG - Cuttino 26
    SF - Nachbar 22
    PF - Griffin 20
    C -- Ming 21

Is this going to be the youngest starting lineup in the league?

I watched the videos of Nachbar, and he does not remind me of Nowitzki or Peja.

Dirk is a better shooter, but Nachbar is a quicker and more fluid athlete. Nachbar looks looks to mix it up inside more than Peja.

I would compare him to a poor man's Grant Hill. He is a team player first, and aggressively takes the ball to the basket.

I think Ming will end up being a top 5 center within 3 years. Steve and Cat are not the best backcourt in the NBA, but they are close. Griffin is going to make New Jersey look stupid for trading his rights. They can keep Jefferson, Collins, and Armstrong- in 5 years Net's fans will groan every time Eddie swats a shot into the cheap seats or drains an open three!

you guys are hilarious. im sure our starters will average 96 points a game....riiiiiiiiight. when you add players, individual stats go down. here is the absolute best you could ever hope for out of this group

    francis: 20, 6, 8
    mobley: 17, 3, 2
    nachbar: 12, 4, 2
    griffin: 13, 9, 1, 2 blk
    ming:12, 8, 2, 3 blk

you should be ridiculously happy if this ever pans out. you should also start praying that we hold a team under 120 points

Yeah you are right, thats a lot of points for those guys. Subtract 96-16=80 that will be our starters ppg. so divide up the ppg game among those guys, going no higher tha 80....I still like it. I wonder what other web sites have us ranked. Sporting news got us at 8th in the nba. Only time will tell how good we will be.

    Next year...
    Francis: 18/6/7
    Mobley: 17/4/2
    Nachbar: 9/4/3
    Eddie: 14/8/1/2.5 bl
    Ming: 12/8/3/2.5 bl
    +
    MoT:12/5/1/0.5 bl
    Rice: 8/2/1
    Cato: 5/5/0.5/1 bl
    Mooch: 6/2/4
Add up these optimistic but reasonable estimates:
    Starters: 70/30/16/5
    9-Man: 101/44/22.5/6.5

No doubt this team should have much more balanced scoring than the last couple of years.

I wouldn't mind if our guards' stats went down some to make room for the frontcourt. Especially rebounds (Francis does NOT need to be leading this team in rebounds any more), but points too. I'd like to see Francis and Mobley around 17-18 points each.

In my mind, Francis can more than make up for a drop in scoring by improving his assist/turnover ratio. If he can do this, he easily deserves another All Star berth, even at 17 ppg.

It is kind of crazy to think, but this team could have 5 All Stars in one year on it. With the Chinese population helping out the vote, we may get some good numbers on allstar weekend.

That was an incredible year for the Lakers. But they didn't win squat becuase 3 of the 4 were big crybabies...
