According to Basketballnews.com (I don't know how reliable this may be):

"What does Steve Francis need to work on most in the offseason in order to help him take the next step up the NBA ladder? Believe it or not, Rudy Tomjanovich and the rest of the Rockets staff practically have had to beg Francis to shoot more. Most around the team feel all Francis needs is the experience to help him understand situational basketball, specifically, when to take over a game and when to hang back and let his teammates take over. Francis made great strides in that regard as a rookie, and that learning process should continue in his sophomore campaign. Francis himself says he just wants to "keep learning the NBA game," and part of that would seem to be learning the league’s referees and letting them get to know him. Says one insider: "A lot of people feel Francis was lumped into the category of the young, gang-banging knuckleheads—the image Allen Iverson is still trying to shake, and an image that was thrust upon Steve when he demanded to be dealt out of Vancouver."

Love the signature you have, cabman. But it could have added .... Kelvin if you go any faster you may actually start moving forward, and Walt, 82 games man, you get paid for 82 games!

Best ways to get Steve to shoot more:

    1. Only give Cato the ball if he gets up the court before Stevie.
    2. Only give Wizbang the ball if he plays in the first 62 games like he played in the last twenty games.

"Let me get this straight .... we pay him $4.5 million dollars a year to play 82 games right? And, the other guy we pay $6 or $7 Million a year to stop the other team from scoring and maybe to score once in a while!" ......... popeye's darling sweetpea attempting to figure out WizBang and CaveInTo's role on the Rockets.
