I know alot of members have helpful and usefull Rockets orientated web sites. many od these sites are actually databases, or tools that alone are helpfull, but would be better as part of a whole. i was wondering if all you guys that have Rockets sites have comcidered compiling your code to make a dynamic rockets resource. Valdes has a good site for draft info, i think DC sports is making a playbook. another member has a cuttino mobley site. and the most impressive thing I have seen was a database of the rockets statistics. actually those plays were pretty damn impressive. all im saying is that you guys should combine forces. or ack Clutch for a resource page off of his front page. just an idea. keep up the good work everybody ------------------
To be honest, CC just got to be too good. There really isn't much more a person can offer that isn't already available here. That's why i killed RocketFuel. Other than my own commentary, there was nothing more that I could offer that couldn't be found here. Clutch's historic database is the bomb. On the other hand, people like Rocketeer has plenty to offer with his incredible artwork. I used to take Rocket actions pix and create cool backgrounds for them. My "artwork" pales in comparison to Rocketeer's. In the past i always considered RocketFuel to be a nice compliment to CC. Nowadays it just got harder and harder to motivate myself to spend the time to keep it up. I found myself spending more time in this BBS than on my own site! More people read my thoughts here and I get feedback. I really had nothing new to offer, except for one idea that I just couldn't make time for. (Clutch knows what that idea is. I'd love to see him take it and run with it because it is a good original idea.) Other than tha,t my Rocket well simply ran dry! I'd love to see some people come up with some fresh new ideas on how present the Rockets in an original light. ------------------ RocketFuel is dead!
Great! Another thread to plug our site! Just kidding. Well, not really. I would sure welcome the hits. The site basically opened earlier this year and Azim, The Cat, AntiSonic and myself try to keep original commentaries and articles coming. All the other stuff you can obviously find here. I'm trying to add some more original content, such as wallpapers and other such 'artwork.' Any feedback on the page would be appreciated. SpaceCity, Man, I can't believe you killed off your site. You promised it would be back by this upcoming season, damn it! Seriously, I always enjoy visiting other sites and do so on a regular basis. I agree with your opinion that it is a nice complement to the fan community. Well, I almost went and started a ClutchCity.net ripoff, but for the Spurs (that was my hook). I never did it, though. It's a lot of work to do what Clutch has done. And because I have spent so much time here, I feel like anything less than this site is a major disappointment. Francais fan, you run the mobley site, correct. well i am a long time Mobley fan. i found your site before i found clutch city infact. i was psyched that someone had a Mobley site, and shared my enthusiasum. i do have some suggestions for yours site, and so as not to come off as a simple complainer, am willing to point you in the right direction. the info in your sight is basically the stuff anyone can find at places like espn, and nba.com. i suggest adding info from his collage years. his run to the great-8 in the NCAA. pictures from collage, and all his stats from those years. im sure it would be easy to get his HS stats as well. to start you off on your way i will direct you to a few information resources. if i am out of linr for this just tell me to mind my own business, and i will. thanks. ------------------

Voice of Reason, You have a great idea, but everybody does their own thing to be an individual and to express themselves in their own way. I'm working on something right now that's nothing more than for the love a team I've grown up with (the Rockets) and for personal fulfillment. It will have stuff on it that you won't find anywhere else on the Internet (and if you can, it won't be for free). I'm hoping it's technically and financially feasible, but even if, in the long-run, it's not feasible, I'll try it anyway just to say "I did it". I may eventually have to drop it, but I'm giving it a whirl. Do I care if I make any money off of it? No. Do I care for the attention? Not really. Is it going to be fun doing what I want to do? Hell yeah! Clutch's site is awesome. He's done some great things with the site, but there's always something "out there" that somebody's done or is working on that often goes unnoticed and that isn't found here. I agree with you that it would be nice if ClutchCity.net was the stopping point for all things Rockets. But it isn't because everybody wants to be an individual and express themselves. Resources like davo's salary cap webpage, heypartner's clutchplays.com or JuanValdez's draft picks page often attempt to answer questions that people ask over and over and would make great additions to this or any other Rockets-specific BBS. Maybe Clutch wants to raise his baby and not worry about others, maybe others want to have fun on their own, who knows. They're all indivduals expressing their love for the best team in the NBA. More power to 'em! The easy way to solve all this is make a folder in your bookmarks named "Houston Rockets" and bookmark all this stuff. ------------------ We Want LANGHI!
I have a suggestion for all of us after reading all the remarks above. i suggest that we the fans do our best to support the guys out there making sites. Clutch is pretty well set, but im sure he wouldnt mind a little help. i bet the ideas that get you excited would get him, or any other fan excited as well. Me, im not a web designer. however i do kow where to get information, and i do know that little improvements are what keep people coming back. i gave Francais fan some info because i like what he is working toward. im sure we all know a little that would help out the other guys too. also your excitment about their site will likely get them excited. I have tons of info on Cuttino Mobley, and im sure there are fans that could help us out in regards to other players. Also to you guys with sites, if there is something you would like to add, just ask everyone, and im sure we will help. ok I think you guys know what im trying to say here. basicly think of us as your teammates. because we all have the same love. *PEACE ------------------
