Morey said he is pursuing another free agent, and hoped to announce another signing "in the next week or two." But he said the Rockets mostly likely would acquire a center to replace Yao through a trade this summer.

Didn't see this posted on the threads, please move if already posted. I wonder who it is, if it was Von I would think they would have said something more direct. Also Center via trade? Flopzilla? Okafer? Someone Else?

Kind of obvious. (Unless the FA signing isn't Von or another SG)

So we got a possible FA signing and a trade for a center coming. I knew the latter was inevitable but the first one sounds like it could be something big.

Just for kicks who are some potential " SPLASH " FA's available?

Isn't our roster approaching critical mass? I had no idea that we still had space left.

We're going to be super undersized if Morey's going to sign another wing or something, but regardless I'm interested as to what Morey is planning.

Since Atlanta have now re-upped Zaza:

    Hayes + White (non-guaranteed) + $3M cash to ATL → D.Andersen (Sign for $3.55M, trade after 30 days)

*July 15 deadline to sign David Andersen
*Hawks make a $1.064M cash profit and get a player paid for by the Rockets

I haven't been able to read through the other threads. Was there a mention of this somewhere?

Iverson probably wants 50 million and guaranteed starting minutes.

The thought is intriguing though, I wouldn't like him here.

What about Rip or Prince ? Please guys ZaZa sucks he's a hard worker and can start fights but I watched him in the playoffs and was not impressed at all. He would just make this team uglier with us already having Scola :D

Don't think he would be the target, remember Morey's trying to get younger and longer not older and shorter.

I'm thinking another former Denver Nugget... J.R. Smith, has he signed with anyone yet? I'd go after him if he wasn't despite the behavioral problems.

Wasn't he offering to play for the Grizs for practically nothing ? Well who cares we have a younger version of him in Brooks ;)

ZAZA signed with the ATL so no worries there! Rip has 5 yrs on his deal so doubt it and Prince/Ariza would be redundent.

I've always loved J.R. Smith regardless if he can shoot you in or shoot you out of a game. That guy is a deadly shooter and has that thug toughness. I just remember when he was out there cheap no one wanted him here on the board :(

Good ZaZa signed so this could mean we are getting a real FA superstar not a scrub backup center :)

So were gona trade for a center hmmm. .....i want Prizbilla just b/c of his size and length..for rebounding and shot blocking...but for the free agent signing i would try to go after Marvin Williams, I doubt atlanta will let him go :D
[IMG] could play the 2 or 3 (6'9 7'4 wingspan) both him and Ariza could switch positions depending on the match up... :D :D :D :D

I think it's rather silly to announce things like this in advance. Get it done, and then reveal it all.

That would be awesome if we could sign him to a 1-yr deal or something.

It would virtually guarantee us a Top 5 pick and put us in the John Wall hunt!!!
