I read that the rockets may be interested in trading Glen Rice and Eddie Griffin for Shareef Abdur-Raheem and possibly Nazr Mohammed. THis would be the only scenario that would make us playoff contenders this season. Abdur-Raheem is a smart and unselfish player who can be a force in the paint, but also can dish it out to yao or Mo. His numbers from last season prove that he is an instant upgrade and unlike Griffin, he has already emerged as a star in the league. With all of the movement going on in the west, The Rockets have no choice but to make this deal happen now! I will say this: without acquiring anyone, there is absolutely no way we are contenders in the west.
