Terry's averaging around 25 minutes per game, and has yet to start a game. With Armstrong in, it looks like JT may be on his way out of the Mav's crowded backcourt rotation, which already contains Finley, Harris, and Daniels. Is it possible he could be available for our picks, as well as a guy like Juwan Howard, who played well during his last stint in Big D? I think it's worth a look.

Also, Kenny Thomas doesn't look to be a Jim O'Brien favorite. If we bring him back and take his contract, I wonder if we could put together enough to get Dalembert (currently sitting on the bench behind Marc Jackson)...

Bring on any real talent. We need if possible to just "buy" players till we have some talent built up. We need to keep our draft choices in tact. It is probable that one or two of them will turn out to be the real running mates for Yao and T-Mac when we are contenders three years or so from now. Of course it is always good if we can get someone to relieve us of our dead wood

We can always make additional trades once we actually have some talent to trade.

KT would help as a rebounder and he can play defense. He is better than our current power forwards. Maybe JVG could try to get him not to shoot so much from the outside.

Terry would be a help as he can shoot and is enough of a point guard with McGrady.

I sure wish someone could put together a trade that another team would actually take so we could acquire a rebounding power forward which I believe is our main need. Given our current 3 through 12 rotation I can't think of anyone that would be valluable enough -not at least till their contracts expire-- to actually accomplish such a trade.

we need guys with a winning mentality. most of our team doesnt have that and niether does a guy who played most of his career for the hawks.

we will get much better on paper, but the heart won't be there.

what do we have to offer Dallas to get him anyways? Cuban will not deal him to an in-state rival.

Dalembert is starting to get more minutes and has been fairly productive. I think if the Sixers do decide to trade KT we won't be able to get him because they can probably get better offers.
I wouldn't be totally surprised if Dallas trades Terry but Harris is still inexperienced and Armstrong is probably going to have a role like Avery Johnson last year.

I don't think Kenny's interested in comming back. Anyone remember his comments to one of our fellow BBSers in a bar a couple years ago?

    "Man F*** Houston!"

    Just say no to KT.

He is too small for a PF and too big for SF. He is a tweener and nothing is going to change that.

BTW I believe he is getting paid MoT type money for a few more years, not a sound investment.

There are a bunch of players we want, the problem is that we have players that teams DON'T want.

    Untradable
    Maurice Taylor
    Juwan Howard
    Charlie Ward

    Expiring contracts
    Spoon
    Lue
    Boki
    Deke

    The rest
    Padgett
    Bowen
    Sura
    Barrett
    Gaines

The only package that we could put together to help us is to package an "untradable," an "expiring contract," and a pick. Which no matter what combo you can put together, it still sucks for other teams.
