Sorry to start a thread that would seem boring to the masses who have flooded in for draft info ... but the Rockets are looking for input from Houstonians/Rocket fans on what time Rocket games should start during the season.

They are trying to get the fans to the games on time, rather than have the 2nd quarter show-ups. They are debating switching from 7:30pm start time to 7:00pm start time, thinking those who live in surburbia and work in the city would stay in the city if they're going to the game, rather than go home and come back (sometimes late).

May seem trivial for some, but for those who attend games -- any input you have, please feel free to post it in this thread. I'm sure it's being read by the organization.

Hmmm...I don't really have a strong personal preference for either one, but it seems like the logic of switching to 7pm could backfire. I guess I'd just as soon say keep them at 7:30.

    I would think 7:30.

I know it can make it hard on people living past 1960 to get home from work, change, take care of baby sitters and still make it into Houston by 7pm. I only say this because that was the case a year ago when I was visiting my ex girl friend who is a teacher and she lives just north of 1960. It was everything we could do to get to the TC by tip off.

PLEASE NO SOONER THAN 7:30 I would like it to be 8:00.

Other than playoff games the NBA game only last's about two hours and twenty-thirty min.

7:30 for goodness sake. how many more empty first halves can we endure?

the amount of people that stick around from downtown is <<<< the amount of people driving in from around town.

I live in Austin and watch the games on LP. 7:30 would be groovy. More time to finish dinner before sittin' back and watchin' the Rocks rock and roll.

Didn't the Astros used to start at 7:30 before Drayton took over? How was the reaction to that?

7:05 - better for getting home, more family friendly...and more time for people to hit the bars afterwards.

I work downtown for god sake and I don't want it moved up so why do some of you folks that live or work outside the loop want it moved up.

FYI-BASKETBALL GAMES ARE A PLACE FOR MANY TO BE SEEN.

I go to all the games as a huge fan but many folks just go to go that's why people are late. If we win then all the games will sellout and the no-shows will be limited to just a few dozen and thus the arena will look more packed at the start of the game

The games finish before 10 as it is. On weekdays I go to happy hour after the game it may be one drink and then a date with sportcenter for me.

Ya'll act like this is a three and a half hour baseball game come on guys the games finish before 10

7:00 for sure. The sooner the games are over, the better. Most of us have to wake up at 6:00 or earlier to go to work, so it would make it easier for me to attend, knowing that I would get back home sooner.

I would prefer a 7:00 gametime. I work in downtown and I usually grab dinner/go home before the game just to kill the time after work. I would much prefer heading over at 6:30 to eat at the arena and have the game start soon after than wait around an extra half hour.

I work in the Med Center and would love a 7:05 tip off. Plenty of time to get there. Of course, all :30 means to me is an extra half hour at BUS or wherever else.

Mark me down as another who'd prefer a 7:00 PM tip off. I'm one of those unfortunate early risers during the week.
