I wasn't sure if this should go in the Game Action or in the hangout, but since so many of the seasoned, better posters stay here rather than the bandwagoner Game Action forum, I figured this is the best place.

Okay, I went to the game on Saturday and I loved it. I went to 4 or 5 games last season, and this year I want to go to more. I'm really excited about this season, and I'd like to get a full-season or half-season ticket plan. Likely the half-season $10 or $13 seats. See, I was telling my mother about how much I enjoyed the game and the seats and she was like "well, just buy season tickets already, you can afford the cheap seats". And that has sparked a fire that is burning greatly.

So here's my dilemma -- how many tickets should I get? See, whenever I get tickets, I have an absurdly difficult time finding anyone else to go with me because I don't have a single friend or family member who is a Rockets fan. It's usually a job trying to get a friend to go with me, calling all over the place, calling people I haven't talked to in months, just trying to use that extra ticket.

So why not just get one ticket? Because I feel like a loser going to a game by myself. And there is the rare ocassion that I have a friend in town who is a basketball fan, and so I could use another seat. But no one ever pays me for an extra ticket, and I never ask for it, so why double the cost of an already expensive season ticket for an event that may occur once every month . . .

But I really want to go to the games . . . should I just buy tickets as the games come up? I don't save/get that much more buying a half-season or full season ticket plan. But I kindof like the ability to have the same seat every game, and have my schedule planned out around the games . . .

GOSH, I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! ONE TICKET, TWO TICKETS, FULL SEASON, HALF-SEASON, WHAT!!!?? OR WHAT ABOUT JUST GOING AND BUYING GAME BY GAME AS I CAN GO?? WHERE SHOULD I SIT??? HELP!!!

I've been to some Rockets games by myself. My friends always had some excuse last year. "Ahh..they suck", "we are playing basketball", "homework", "blah blah blah". I just said to hell with it and actually did go to about 3-4 games by myself. Its not that bad.

If you want to buy $34 tickets for half a season you are more then welcome to sit by us in sec 228.

If u decide to get tixs Vengence, I would gladly go with u and pay my share. The thing is, I cant go to Tues or Wed games because of school/work. I wanted to go more games also, and was just planning to go the ones I wanted to go for sure (ex. this Sat. game, LA games, Wash. games, promotional games, etc...). Just hit me an email if u want to plan something.

Well here's a thought on this. Why don't I buy two season tickets, or half-season, whatever, and then we can schedule something so that members of the BBS can go. We can schedule out who goes when or something . . .

    whatever, get over it...

I go alot by myself... I go out to eat by myself, go to games by myself, just get over it... my wife has this problem too... she doesn't like to go out to eat by herself.. whatever. If I'm hungry, I eat, if I want to watch the Rockets, I go.

you have a chance to get season tix and would rather pass it up than go by yourself?

... but see if you can sit next to some non-homocidal CC.net folks, if you can 'cause then you won't be as ashamed to act a fool.

I'm with rockHEAD and DOD. Go by yourself if you have to. It's still fun.

I went the Toronto game by myself, I could only get one ticket. Too bad the guy in the blue leather jacket with the fake and bake tan sitting next to me had to act like he knew it all and then had to repeat himself over and over.

I bought the 6 pack in the 10 dollar seats so I can take my 2.5 yr old daughter to some games. I'm a master at the move down after half time, so I'll get us closer so she can see. When I told her she said "Your my best friend". Makes me proud. I'll remind her of that when she's 16 and I won't let her out of my sight. :)

If you buy the tickets and need someone to go, I'll gladly pay my way. My email address is in my profile.

    Vengeance,

I have plan B season tickets and I have about 20+ games I won't have someone to go with me and about 10 games I can go to myself. I'm sitting in section 223, row H, seats 1-2. TheSummit is the next row down, and he has full season tickets. Send me an email and I'll let you know what games I don't have a guest for or ones that I can't make.

Damn. I was thinking to myself, if I go to UH Law next year, I'm gonna buy a Texans season ticket. Now I wanna get a Rockets season ticket.

i understand where you're coming from. i have an issue with doing anything by myself... eating out, seeing a movie, going to a game, etc. i just feel awkward and uncomfortable b/c i need social interaction when doing anything like that... i need to be able to talk smack whenever I'm outside the house! :D

Let me know if you go to UH Law. I graduated from there in 2000. BTW...your first year of law school you won't have time for 41 basketball games...trust me.

Good luck...let me know whether you get admitted. I'd be more than happy to have a sandwich and talk to you about law school. :)
